In the American Progress Painting, I see the Painting "Manifest Destiny" by John Gast. Within the the canvas I see Multiple Americans walking west with Prayie Scooners, Trains, to Horses. I see on the Left, were there is Darkness, are Native Americans, Lots of Buffalo and other Animals. The Native Americans and Animals are also looking back at the Americans, like they are scared or forced to move in the west where the darkness is. I also see a "angel" holding a bible floating in the air dragging in Morse Code radio wires. I also see the settling of Americans and the start of farming in the near bottom right corner.  

2. I think that this represents the moving of Americans and how they forced Everyone and everything out of the way so they could have all the land of America. But this could also represent how the Native Americans and Animals where effected during the process.

I think that it could be conquest because of the fact that the Americans are forcefully pushing the Natives to the coast. as they push them to the coast, they have no where to go, until they are put onto reservations in modern day Oklahoma.

By this I can infer and make my own definition: Manifest Destiny is the belief of untrodden land that would have an everlasting Providence that is destined to have lots of beneficial outputs for America and the Americans.
