I had no idea what I was going to study. I always wanted to become a teacher and I enjoyed helping my peers. When I took my first math class, I realized that this was what I wanted to do for a career. So I began tutoring and became an Math SI Leader on campus. I will be attaining my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics with a concentration in teaching in Fall 2017. They came with intention to have a better life for our family. I have two older sisters, Yazmin and Valeria. My sister, Valeria, is also a student here at CSUF. So we try to pick our schedules on the same days to commute together. Hopefully by the end of this year, my sisters and I will all have a Bachelors Degree. My mom comes from a big family; the picture below is of my cousins. Her name is Spanish for star. She is a Maltese and she is an important part of my life. This is a video of her playing while I try to make my bed. When I was a younger, I was terrified of dogs. I could not be in the same room with one. A couple years ago I faced my fear; my family got our first dog, Widdle. Unfortunately, he passed away and I was heartbroken.
