What you’ll need:
a white sheet (white is the best, but any light coloured sheet would work).

Safety
This activity should be fully supervised

What to do:
It’s really simple. Lay the sheet under the tree and spread the sheet out. Shake the tree and the branches. Give it  a good vigorous shake.

Observe and discuss bugs
Spend some time observing the bugs. If you know some of the bugs are harmless let them touch or hold them

Draw pictures, take photos and record what you found. Maybe search online to find out more about the bugs you find.
