Something I have loved about this site and always stands out to me is the comprehensive list they have for student needs and also the accommodations list they have available for each need. It is also organized into environmental, assessment and instructional accommodations so it is very clear. This can help teachers to inform their own practice or provide accommodation ideas for IEP.

I really appreciate the inclusion of a glossary, having a vocabulary list means that I'll be able to use accurate language to advocate for my students and myself. It's also useful having a site that aggregates all this information, as opposed to having to pick through a wide range of sites to find the pieces that I need. Have a guide to setting up modifications/accommodations for a variety of needs/exceptionalities and diagnosed conditions will ensure that I can better meet the various needs.

This is what I was looking for since 2-3 years. Now I got it. I will go through all the stuff it has in the coming time. This is a such good relief to have something so well designed and full of knowledge. This is going to be one of the resources which I can rely on.

This reminds me of the PRIM manual in that there are a number of look-fors and suggested practices for behaviours such as Self -Regulation. It goes much further by including lots of resources through links to other websites if you wish to explore the issues in more depth. This would give the teacher a deeper understanding of the challenge and provide them with a variety of perspectives (from the Ministry to ideas from other teachers).

I used this website last week to further explore Consolidation strategies we discussed in class (e.g. Bansho, Congress, Gallery Walk) and was surprised that I hadn't accessed this site much previously. So that, in itself, was an "aha." Through EduGains today, I found useful links to Ministry, Other and Board-Developed resources for Learning Disabilities, for example. Each of those links highlight PPM's, or other sites (LDAO, CAST) to help inform teacher's practice. This is a great stepping stone for someone just learning about IEP's or LD's. Or for people just wanting to learn more, generally, about the different challenges kids face.

This is an amazing resource for teachers to refer to when focusing on their students' needs. It gives practical strategies for teachers to accommodate for these areas of needs, and links additional resources that provide fundamental background information. This is a great website to go to to be more informed, and the additional resources act as an extra step towards implementing these strategies in the classroom.

This is a rich resource. One of the Aha's I had with something like this is that the links provided are not necessarily all Canadian. I don't always look for that...but with something like this, I think it's important to know if we're looking at Ontario guidelines or information coming from outside of Ontario as it has implications for how we document and create IEP's etc.
