It's also useful having a site that aggregates all this information, as opposed to having to pick through a wide range of sites to find the pieces that I need. It goes much further by including lots of resources through links to other websites if you wish to explore the issues in more depth. So that, in itself, was an "aha." Through EduGains today, I found useful links to Ministry, Other and Board-Developed resources for Learning Disabilities, for example. Each of those links highlight PPM's, or other sites (LDAO, CAST) to help inform teacher's practice. This is a great stepping stone for someone just learning about IEP's or LD's. This is an amazing resource for teachers to refer to when focusing on their students' needs. It gives practical strategies for teachers to accommodate for these areas of needs, and links additional resources that provide fundamental background information. This is a great website to go to to be more informed, and the additional resources act as an extra step towards implementing these strategies in the classroom.

One of the Aha's I had with something like this is that the links provided are not necessarily all Canadian.
