As I've shared in class about my own father's experience at work: Hard labour work such as repairing of huge vehicles. They are required to work under the hot sun for hours daily and carry heavy items. They also tend to suffer from injuries at work such as cuts and burns while welding. The pay is also not as attractive as a desk job.

My father has difficulty finding Singaporeans who would want to take up such a job, or even stay long in the job. Most of his previous workers came from Thailand, China or Malaysia.

In fact, my father used to be a Malaysian who came to Singapore to work and converted to Singaporean citizenship.

I think the reason Singapore needs these foreigners is because most Singaporeans do not want to take up jobs that have low income and requires a lot of hard work.

The jobs that Singaporeans are unwilling to take up are mostly construction work, domestic helpers, bus drivers, cleaners, etc. I think it is because Singaporeans find it a lot more hard work than office work and they rely a lot on foreigners to take up these jobs.

The reasons why foreigners want to work in Singapore are because they find Singapore a safe, nice and clean country and because they want to earn more money to support their families.

Singapore needs these foreigners because Singaporeans prefers jobs that offers higher salary and are not willing to take up any hardship.

Singaporeans are unwilling to take up jobs that has low pay, namely cleaners, domestic helpers, gardeners, bus/taxi drivers, security officers, delivery man, receptionist and construction workers.

The reasons why foreigners want to work in Singapore is because they have not enough jobs in their hometown and Singapore has a higher currency than many other country. Foreigners would come to Singapore to look for jobs o that they can send money back to their hometown to support their family.

Singaporeans are not willing to take up jobs that are tiring and has low pay. Examples of these jobs are: domestic helpers, construction workers and cleaners. They find that these jobs are too menial and want to earn more money.

Foreigners want to work in Singapore because their countries have a lesser variety of jobs, or because of wars. They come to Singapore to find jobs so that they can support their families

Singapore needs this foreigners as Singaporean does not want to work for some jobs which require hard work and given a low pay.

There are some jobs which require hard work but are given very low pay, for example maids, construction workers, cleaners and more. So we need these foreigners to work in Singapore in order to get the job done.

Singapore population is low therefore we need foreigners to help. Many jobs that are rejected by Singaporean are due to low pay and hardship. Jobs like construction workers, domestic helper, cleaner and bus drivers. Foreigners want to work in Singapore because Singapore is a safe and secured place. They can earn better pay here as compared to their country.

Singapore needs these foreigners as there are many jobs that Singaporeans do not want to take up because the jobs need a lot of hard work but have only very little pay. Some examples of these jobs are construction workers, cleaners and domestic helpers. Without these foreigners, there will not be buildings, transportation on buses and no one to clean your house.

Foreigners come to Singapore to work maybe because there are no available jobs in their country and they need money for daily usage.

There are important jobs that Singapore needs. Most of these jobs are low-paying and require hard work. What happens if nobody does these jobs and try to work higher paying jobs? This is the reason why we need foreigners to help us.

Foreigners choose to come to Singapore as the find her clean, safe and they can easily find jobs here unlike their own country and can earn more for their families here.

There are very few Singaporeans who are trained in certain fields of work, such as engineering and design in the construction industry. They are not interested in such work even when they are offered a higher pay than foreigners. Singaporeans find this work too tough and tedious.

Though the government is trying to get married women and the elderly to re-join the workforce, these groups of Singaporeans may not want to take up jobs in construction industry or jobs that involve shift work. So the government has no choice but to let in foreign workers.

They may be born in poor families,and they may have to support a family. Yet they do not have money to do so.They have to be cleaners,builders, rubbish truck drivers and maids just to earn money. All this jobs are too tough for us Singaporeans to do. The jobs they are doing for us are either too though or

very dirty.They may be forced to do so but they do not have any other choice.

Country of theirs may not have jobs that will give them sufficent amount of money to support their family.
