Source: http://pixar-animation.weebly.com/pixars-animation-process.html.
They start with a story idea/story board, and then they move to text treatment so they could come up with some ideas for the models. After that they make a script for the film, and then they look for the perfect voices for their models. To make the models they first need to think about the characteristics of the models so they have to make something called the color script. And then they starts designing the models from a clay model to an animated model, and then there come the background designing, the sets, and the shots for the models. And then they get to the real stuffs, the animation process of cgi (computer graphics imagery), after that they add the shade and the lighting to the models and the background. And they finally render it and audio tunes it and releases it as a movie.
