UDL and OER allow every student to succeed in class. It creates equity in classrooms because a student who might work better with a physical book, paper, and pen can be just as successful as a student who does their work on a laptop. After all, both students have access to the work. It allows students to work however they feel is better for them, and they don't have to worry about not having access to their work or being unable to complete it.

After researching and learning more about UDL and OER, I realized that they are similar. UDL allows teachers to create lessons and workspaces that benefit many students, including students of different ethnicities. OER allows teachers to provide their students with their assignments in various ways so students can pick which one suits their needs best, correlating to UDL because UDL allows students to choose their learning style.

UDL and OER are both extremely helpful when it comes to providing resources for classrooms. I would use UDL to help my students feel welcomed in my classroom by incorporating different cultures into my lesson plans. I would also give my students the freedom to choose how they want to work (i.e., if they're going to work with music, by themselves, or with a group), and it would allow me to get to know my students and what I can do to help them succeed.
I can use OER as a tool to provide my students with free books and websites relating to my lessons that extra support them in understanding the class. I can also use OER when assigning homework because I'll be able to give homework online or physically if a student needs a physical copy of the task.
