Crispin is a young boy with no family. He is all alone with no help from anyone, except for Bear. A random stranger took him under his wing. At the climax of the story Bear is taken and Crispin finds the truth out about his family, then he goes to save him. He faces the man who has been trying to kill him from the very begining. He knew he hadn't done anything wrong and he is the rightful heir to the Lord that governs his land and many other villages. He then takes back everthing that was rightfully his and saves Bear from being tourtured.
