First and the commonly talked about is our religion. As what I know, Christianity is the most common religion in the Philippines. Since back then, Christianity was forced upon us. But that was renewed to having the freedom to pick your own religion and is still staying in the law as of now. Our language is also a mix of Spanish and Malay words. The Spaniards completely changed our laws, social and economic behavior. Back then, the Filipino nobles were the only ones who can go to school and go around the world since they have the power and the money. Meanwhile, the Filipinos who can’t are stuck serving the Spanish. Though, I am not saying that their 333 years of colonizing us was a bad issue. In fact, it made our history pretty interesting and helpful to our society back then and now.

Though, this issue with money has been around for an incredibly long time. Also, as what people have said personally or online, our current President, Bong Bong Marcos, has been getting hated on for his father’s history with the “Martial Law”. I researched more into the Martial Law and why Bong Bong Marcos is involved, and one of the netizens have said this on Twitter, “Paano kung biglang mag-start yan si BBM ng Martial Law? Sino kawawa? Edi tayo pa rin! SPEAK UP, FILIPINOS!!! THIS IS NOT A CASE TO SIT ON.” So, I feel if BBM starts a nationwide MARTIAL LAW, that is the trigger of the people.
