Although, she did live an hour away and we barely saw each other we always tried to have the best time. I remember being playing barbies with her and having so much fun. Sadly though, we aren't as close anymore. I think it's just because we're getting older and we have matured a lot. Relationships drift apart but you want to remain to have a relationship with them you have to try and make it work, so that's what we did. We are talking more and more and trying to reconnect our old relationship. 

How does this relate to the theme?

This example relates to the theme because it shows you that Jennifer and I had a few issues but that we talked things over and now we're talking more. Even though something big happens it gets better.

On the first day of school, I was nervous and scared. I got on the bus and my legs were shaking and my palms were sweaty. The first week of 6th grade I was bullied. I just sat on the bus being told things and getting thrown stuff. I didn't tell anyone, I just kept it all to myself. I felt really alone and overwhelmed. After the second week of school, I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and talk to people so that's what I did. I made some friends and after being able to talk to them I didn't feel alone anymore. 

How did this relate to the theme?

We were around 7 or 8. I still remember the first day I saw them. My mom surprised us with them and it was the best day ever. I think about it quite often and it's definitely one of the best memories I have of my childhood. Sadly not long after we weren't able to keep them anymore so we gave them to my aunt. She kept them outside and days later they died. I wasn't ever told how they passed away but it wasn't easy to hear about what happened to them. They were my everything and I know my brother and I had them for a little but they meant a lot to me. After a few years, I realized it was just their time to go and they're in a better life somewhere. 

How does this relate to the theme?

This example relates to the theme because it tells you a time where I was having a hard time grieving for my dogs. But, I realized it was time to let go of that and not keep it from moving me forward.
