TANHA

Climate change is a change in the usual weather found in a place. This could be a change in how much rain a place usually gets in a year. Or it could be change in a place's usual temperature for a month or season.

Global climate change refers to the average long-term changes over the entire Earth. These include warming temperature and changes in precipitation,as well as the effects of Earth's warming. Earth's climate is always changing. Earth's temperature has gone up about one degree Fahrenheit in the last 100 years. This may not seen like much. But small changes in Earth's temperature can have big effects. Many things can cause climate to change all on its own. Earth's distance from the sun can change. The sun send out more or less energy. When a volcano erupts,it can change our climate.

Humans can change climate too. People drive cars. People heat and cool their houses. People cook food. All those things take energy. The another way we get energy by burning coal, oil and gas. Burning these things puts gases into the air. The gases cause the air to heat up. It also can change the climate of one place or the whole word.

For climate change the earth's temperature will keep up for the next 100 years,as well as the effect of climate change are:-rising sea levels, melting ice, stronger hurricanes etc.

To save our earth we have to stop the climate from changing as much. We can help by using less energy and water. Turn off water when we brushing our teeth. We also can help by planting tree.

In conclusion,we need to take part and try to stop global warming and other effect of climate change. If everybody as one take stand and try to end most of the climate changes that are occurring ,this world would be a safer place to live on.

Any size of plastic or bottle can be used to make an ecobrick. Plastic is cut or ripped into small pieces then packed by little. Through these process, we can add much value to recyling plastics.

SHARFIN AL NAFI

An ecobrick is a plastic bottle packed with used plastic to a set density. They serve as reusable building blocks. Ecobricks can be used to produce various items, including furniture, garden walls and other structure. Ecobricks are produced primarily as a means of managing consumed plastic by sequestering it and containing it safely, by terminally reducing the net surface area of the packed plastic to effectively secure the plastic from degrading into toxins and microplastics. Ecobricking is a both an individual and collaborative endeavour. The ecobricking movement promotes the personal ecobricking process as a means to raise awareness of the consequences of consumption and the dangers of plastic. It also promotes the collaborative process as a means to encourage communities to take collective responsibility for their used plastic and to use it to produce a useful product to enable the production of ecobricks at minimal environmental cost, the Global Ecobrick Alliance promotes low-technology methods that do not require capital, fuel, electricity, or specialized equipment. Typically, producers use a wood or bamboo stick to manually pack plastic into the plastic bottle. Any size of transparent polyethylene terephthalate(PET) plastic bottle can be used to make an ecobrick. The bottle and the packed plastic are clean and dry to prevent the growth of bacteria. Plastic is cut or ripped into small pieces then packed little by little, alternating between adding the plastic and compacting it, layer by layer. The bottle is rotated with each press to ensure the plastic is evenly compacted throughout the bottle. This helps prevent voids and that the packing reaches the requisite solidity needed for building block applications. Completed ecobricks are packed solid enough that they can bear the weight of a person without deforming—a density range between 0.33 g/ml and 0.7 g/ml. Maximizing density minimizes the flammability of the ecobrick while increasing its durability and re-usability.

SHARFIN AL NAFI

Climate change is one of the burning issues the world is facing currently. It is an issue that isn’t targeted to any specific group of people rather it will affect the whole of mankind. But it will affect people living below the poverty line the most. Global warming is considered one of the main reasons for climate change. Global warming indicates the rise in temperature worldwide which is caused by different reasons. As the developed countries are producing tons of greenhouse gases regularly, it is damaging the nature very fast. But the developing or underdeveloped countries have to face the result of climate change first. As a result of global warming, different natural calamities like floods, cyclones, drought will occur and they will take thousands of lives. As poor people worldwide have no safety measure against all these, they will suffer the most. Moreover, polar ice packs will also melt with the rise of temperature which is very risky for the people living in coastal areas. It has been found in researches that if the average temperature rises by 2 degrees Celsius, sea level will rise by 1 meter. It will cause thousands of people living in coastal areas to leave their accommodation. As Bangladesh is surrounded by the Bay of Bengal in the southern part of the country, Bangladesh is also at risk of being affected by climate change. With the industrial revolution, millions of factories are set up and they are emitting chemicals that are very harmful to nature. If they don’t take proper steps to prevent this, it will take a short time to damage the atmosphere of this planet. Even using excessive motor vehicles leads to carbon emission which damages nature greatly. Though the world leaders are discussing to reduce the carbon emission globally, we should be aware of the upcoming danger. Our government should take proper steps to save the greenery and tree plantation can play a vital role to fight climate change. Also, the factories should be compliant with the safety rules so that no harmful chemicals can enter nature without being treated. This way, we would be able to build a world for our next generation which will be healthier and safer. It is our duty to save our planet from the adverse effects of climate change and it is high time we should take steps.

ANIKA FAIROZ SRISTY

Climate Change refers to a change in the average conditions such as temperature and rainfall in a region over a long period of time. It includes both the global warming driven by human emission of greenhouse gases and the resulting large scale shifts in weather patterns. It describes changes in the state of the atmosphere over time scales ranging from decades to millions of years. The climate is changing mainly for greenhouse effect. The balance of the environment is several hampered for increasing the average temperature owing to the greenhouse effect. As the devoloped countries are producing tons of greenhouse gases regularly, it’s damaging the nature very much. For this, the devoloping or undeveloped countries have to face the result of climate change. As a result, different calamities like flood, cyclone, drought etc will occur and they will take thousands of lives. To stop global warming, first of all we have to stop the use of CFC and other greenhouse gases. Secondly, the use of firewood and other fuel must be stopped. Besides,we have to expand the tree plantation program more and more. At last,we have to increase public awarness about this important issue. It is our duty to remove the imbalance of nature in order to ensure our own existance.

Even more simply,it's a plastic bottle, stuffed full with plastic. It can be used to produce items, such as furniture garden walls and other structures. It created by filling a plastic bottle with clean, dry plastic unit it's packed tightly and can be used as a building block.

Ecobricks are part of a solution that enabled people to not only clean up their rivers and coastlines, but these once wasted materials can be used to build things of direct benefit to local communities.
Several NGO's are also offering plastic incentives. Whereby individuals are paid to collect waste plastics and make Ecobricks for various projects.
Ecobricks certainly offer a ready made solution to the immediate problems posed by plastic. They are a hugely powerful tool for cleaning up a local ares.,educating schools and communities. and creating structures that will stand the test of time.
Further thought should certainly be given to the longevity of the plastics and the potential environmental impacts further down the line.
However,Ecobricks certainly from a potent reminder of humankind's poor management of waste are reinforce the need for radical change across the plastic industry.

Mainly, drought occurs by land and water temperatures. It can also be a supply and demand of water issue. It happens when a region receives less than average rainfall. Climate change has been a major factor in the creation of droughts in several parts of the world. As the earth is heating up, many regions of the world are experiencing less percipation and droughts

Some solutions to prevent drought-
1.Rainwater harvesting has seen a major growth in recent years and this is something everyone should adopt. With rainwater harvesting, homes can store the water that they get from rain and then use it when they neeld it in dry conditons.
2.Drip irrigation hopes to achive optimum water delivery for plants and optimum moisture in the soil. The advantage of such system doesn’t result in water wastage.
3.The most common method that we use to water croos or provide water to livestock is by pumping it out of the earth.
4.

ANIKA FAIROZ SRISTY

I think the picture is about flood.
A flood is an overflow of water that submergs land that is usually dry. Flooding may occur as an overflow of water from water bodies such as river, lake or occeans. While it may occur along river blanks, lakes and sea coasts, river flooding is the most common of all around the world. Floods can cause considerable damage to life and property. It is impossible to prevent flood, yet many methods can help preventimg flood.
Humans are helpless against rainfall and downpour. As we can see the picture, people are suffering much due to flood. But the construction of dams and reserves helps in containing water and preventing floods. Also, timely and proper construction of river banks and dams will help to prevent flood. Besides, planting tress in flood prone areas will also help controling flood by a considerable level. Thus,we can prevent flood.

SHARFIN AL NAFI

Climate change is a long-term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth’s local, regional and global climates. These changes have a broad range of observed effects that are synonymous with the term. One of the most immediate and obvious effects of global warming is the increase in temperatures around the world. The average global temperature has increased by about 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degrees Celsius) over the past 100 years, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Global temperatures have increased since the 1800s with models predicting their continued rise, and sea ice has been decreasing in extent and thickness. By 2040, Arctic sea ice may disappear altogether during summer months. The loss of sea ice affects polar bears’ ability to find food. Polar bears feed on ringed seals that live at the ice edge, getting two thirds of the energy they need for the entire year in late spring and early summer. With the ice retreating earlier in spring and forming later in winter, the bears have less time to hunt prey and have to go without food for longer. So Polar bears are starving for global warming.

Some ways of averting global warming:

1.USING SOLAR ENERGY.

2.

ANIKA FAIROZ SRISTY

I think the picture is about river erosion.
River erosion is an endemic and recurrent natural hazard. When river enters the mature stage, they become sluggish and meander or braid. It is a process whreby the bank or coastline of a river or a sea is gradually broken and destroyed by the forceful current of water. The main cause of river erosion is the forceful flow of river water. In the rainy season, heavy rainfall also causes erosion by the river bank and washes away a vast area of cultivable land, house and social, political, cultural or educational institute. The people living near the erosion affected areas have to leave their homes for sone safer place.

Solution to river erosion-
1. But Carbon dioxide produced by factories is very harmful . Carbon dioxide contributes to air pollution in its role in the greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide traps radiation at ground level, creating ground-level ozone. This atmospheric layer prevents the earth from cooling at night. One result is a warming of ocean waters. Oceans absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. However, higher water temperatures compromise the oceans' ability to absorb carbon dioxide. Over time, the effects of carbon dioxide are compounded. Carbon dioxide emissions impact human health by displacing oxygen in the atmosphere. Breathing becomes more difficult as carbon dioxide levels rise.

SAJARUL ISLAM SRABON

It is our duty to save our planet from the adverse effects of climate change and it is high time we should take steps

Humans are largely responsible for recent climate change
Over the past century, human activities have released large amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The majority of greenhouse gases come from burning fossil fuels to produce energy, although deforestation, industrial processes, and some agricultural practices also emit gases into the atmosphere.
Emissions at sunsetGreenhouse gases act like a blanket around Earth, trapping energy in the atmosphere and causing it to warm. This phenomenon is called the greenhouse effect and is natural and necessary to support life on Earth. However, the buildup of greenhouse gases can change Earth's climate and result in dangerous effects to human health and welfare and to ecosystems.
The choices we make today will affect the amount of greenhouse gases we put in the atmosphere in the near future and for years to come.

Climate change affects everyone
Our lives are connected to the climate. Human societies have adapted to the relatively stable climate we have enjoyed since the last ice age which ended several thousand years ago. A warming climate will bring changes that can affect our water supplies, agriculture, power and transportation systems, the natural environment, and even our own health and safety

Ecobricks can be used to produce various items, including furniture, garden walls and other structures.[1] Ecobricks are produced primarily as a means of managing consumed plastic by sequestering it and containing it safely, by terminally reducing the net surface area of the packed plastic to effectively secure the plastic from degrading into toxins and microplastics. Ecobricking is a both an individual and collaborative endeavour. The ecobricking movement promotes the personal ecobricking process as a means to raise awareness of the consequences of consumption and the dangers of plastic. It also promotes the collaborative process as a means to encourage communities to take collective responsibility for their used plastic and to use it to produce a useful product.[2]

Ecobricks are plastic drinking bottles packed with non-biodegradable waste to make a reusable building block.
To enable the production of ecobricks at minimal environmental cost, the Global Ecobrick Alliance promotes low-technology methods that do not require capital, fuel, electricity, or specialized equipment. Typically, producers use a wood or bamboo stick to manually pack plastic into the plastic bottle.[3] Any size of transparent polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottle can be used to make an ecobrick. This helps prevent voids and that the packing reaches the requisite solidity needed for building block applications.[4] Completed ecobricks are packed solid enough that they can bear the weight of a person without deforming—a density range between 0.33 g/ml and 0.7 g/ml.[5] Maximizing density minimizes the flammability of the ecobrick[6] while increasing its durability and re-usability.

"Take a Plastic Bottle – Stuff it Full of plastic" Ecobrick.it
Context

The ecobricking of plastic

Ecobrick building applications

History

Case studies

References

External links

SAJARUL ISLAM SRABON

In this picture ,I can see that air is polluted by industrial smoke or gas.So I think it's a picture of air pollution that effect on environment which is a result of climate change

Air pollution is one of the major problems in these days. Almost countries become the victim of this environment pollution. This is the act of mixing pollutants into air which is not fair for living the shell life of human-being and overall planets habitat. In order to cope up with the effect of this non-feasible effect, the clean air act brings the U.S. environmental protection agency to protect the massive pollutions health. Their mission is to limit the emission of these harmful air pollutions. This leading industry has established its foundation in 1970. The origination of air pollution cannot be fully tamed, but it is easy to lessen the intensity of air pollution.

The major causes of air pollution:

Most air pollution is the environment that arises due to energy utilization for doing certain activities. No matter what the purpose of burning the fossil is, some unexpected and chemical substances come in your environment. The climate and clean program list outs this fact that burning the fossil e.g. coal will release the harmful and suffocating chemical elements in air. Apart from this, there is a high possibility of producing toxic gases. Having gotten a touch in this air pollution, there is observed some climate changes as well. As a result, there have experienced some changes in crop development.

The effect of air pollution:

For a long time back, the people of the U.S have got some progress in improving the air quality index. Gradually, the existence of climate change does not remain constant for air quality. So, there is a high possibility of having hazardous pollutants. It has some adverse health effects which is either deadly or severe health risk. Some reports tell that this air contains the joint mixture of mercury, lead, dioxin, and benzene. These harmful elements will be produced during the emission of gases. It is possible that there might be a negative effect on the immune system which is not betterment for health.

Air pollution a serious issue:

The existence of air pollution is the burning question for all planet people. Do not live in this risky environment otherwise, you are ready to beat some incurable disease.

What will happen in cause we do not stop air pollution:

In cause we do not stop the major causes of air pollutions, then there is not easy to handle the lungs related problem. Ride rarely on a car or motorbike. Use the bike and walk on foot.
Buy the fuel which as less fuel efficiency

How air pollution affect our health:

There is no exact clarification on what negative impact of air pollution on your health.

SAJARUL ISLAM SRABON

In this picture I can see that the road is full of water, vehicles doesn't move properly and many people gathered in one vehicle and some people are suffering to move on foot for over flow of water. After seeing this picture I think it is flood

One of the significant causes of flooding is heavy rain. Water levels are forecasted to enhance in rivers and lakes due to high rainfall. The rain overflows and floods as it peaks over the banks of the river or the dam. Water is pouring over into areas surrounding rivers, lakes or canals, heavy rainfall or flooding. Floods destroy the regions where they move, and inflict posed a significant threat. The water started falling even due to massive snow melting. Due to global warming, the earth’s temperature is beginning to grow. The snowcap melts swiftly as temperatures rise. Constant and intense melting snow is creating floods as the water level of the river reaches the riverbank, rising the sea levels of the river. The major sources of flood are below-:

Rain: Rain is the world’s main cause of the bulk of flood events. Excessive rain is resulting in heavy rainfall to flow the mainland. Specifically along with the high intensity of the rainfall over a long time.
Lakes and Coastal Flooding: The rivers will overflow the sea or lake. It spreads downstream to the surrounding lowlands, popularly called as the flood zones. As a result, water releases abruptly into surrounding lands that result in floods.
Dam Breakage: Flooding takes place if large storms or tsunamis lead to the sea body rising along the coast. These overflows have destructive power because they destroy inappropriate structures, like bridges, houses, and vehicles, to resist the strength of the sea. Winds and tornadoes are strong and massive in the coastal areas, causing water to flow and flood over dry shore lands. When the ocean winds rain down, the situation gets even worse. The seawater can cause extensive destruction by storm or tornado.
The regions stay swamped until the waterway or storm water networks are fixed. Whenever the systems or waterways are not rectified, the areas remain flooded until plant species dissolve the surplus water or enter the atmosphere.

SAJARUL ISLAM SRABON

In this picture i think its the Scenery of river Erosion

Riverbank Erosion is an endemic and recurrent natural hazard in Bangladesh. When rivers enter the mature stage (as in the case with the three mighty rivers, the Mangas, the Gongas, the Bramaputra and The Meghna) they become sluggish and meander or braid. These oscillations cause massive riverbank erosion. Every year, millions of people are affected by erosion that destroys standing crops, farmland and homestead land. It is estimated that about 5% of the total floodplain of Bangladesh is directly affected by erosion. Some researchers have reported that bank erosion is taking place in about 94 out of 489 upazilas of the country. A few other researchers have identified 56 upazilas with incidence of erosion. At present, bank erosion and flood hazards in nearly 100 upazilas have become almost a regular feature. Of these, 35 are severely affected. For example, A newspaper report stated that over 25,000 families were rendered homeless in June 1993 by riverbank erosion in 16 districts. Some rivers cause erosion in large scale and high frequency due to their unstable character. These rivers assume a braided pattern consisting of several channels separated by small islands in their courses. During the last 200 years or so, the channels have been swinging between the main valley walls. During the monsoon, extensive over bank spills, bank erosion and bank line shifts are typical. The gradual migration or shifting of channels of the major rivers in Bangladesh amount to anywhere between 60m to 1,600m annually. In a typical year, about 2,400 km of the bank line experiences major erosion. The unpredictable shifting behaviour of the rivers and their encroachments not only affect the rural floodplain population but also urban growth centers and infrastructures. No systemic pattern has yet been observed of the erosion hazards because of the involvement of a large number of variables in the process. The intensity of bank erosion varies widely from river to river as it depends on such characteristics as bank material, water level variations, near bank flow velocities, platform of the river and the supply of water and sediment into the river. For example, loosely packed, recently deposited bank materials, consisting of site and fine sand, and are highly susceptible to erosion. Rapid recession of floods accelerates the rates of bank erosion in such materials.

The phenomenon is caused by climate change where the Earth's temperature is rising day by day and global warming is taking place as a result the polar ice is melting. This is causing sea levels to rise which is a threat to polar bears. We have lost many animals as a blessing for nature as a result of climate change.

I think this picture is of air pollution where toxic black smoke is coming out of the factory. These toxic fumes contain gases such as carbon-monoxide, carbon-di-oxide, hydrocarbons, etc., which are the main cause of global warming. Oxygen keeps the earth's temperature cold, while the toxic fumes from mills pollute the air. Humans survive by taking in oxygen, but as the amount of carbon dioxide increases, oxygen is depleted and the environment becomes unstable. The beauty of nature is changing drastically.

Here are some solutions of air pollution:

1. Burn less coal.

2. Lessen the impact of cars.

3.

Moreum Sultana Asha

Climate change means the climate of Earth changing. Climate change is now a big problem.[1] Climate change this century and last century is sometimes called global warming, because the surface of the Earth is getting hotter, because of humans.[1] But thousands and millions of years ago sometimes it was very cold, like ice ages and snowball Earth.
Climate change is any significant long-term change in the weather of a region (or the whole Earth) over a significant period of time. Climate change is about abnormal variations to the climate, and the effects of these variations on other parts of the Earth. Examples include the melting of ice caps at the South Pole and North Pole. These changes may take tens, hundreds or perhaps millions of years. We all have to be aware for global warming and climate change. We have to make oneself conscious about the causes of climate change.

Avert the Worst Impacts of Climate Change
Action Center.
Reforest the World.
End Plastic Pollution.
Protect Wildlife.
Reduce Waste.
Conserve the Oceans.
Avert Climate Change.
Preserve Habitats.
If we all maintain all this rules , I think we have to prevent "Climate Change".

Moreum Sultana Asha

An ecobrick is a plastic bottle packed with used plastic to a set density. They serve as reusable building blocks. It also promotes the collaborative process as a means to encourage communities to take collective responsibility for their used plastic and to use it to produce a useful product.[2]To enable the production of ecobricks at minimal environmental cost, the Global Ecobrick Alliance promotes low-technology methods that do not require capital, fuel, electricity, or specialized equipment. Typically, producers use a wood or bamboo stick to manually pack plastic into the plastic bottle.[3] Any size of transparent polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottle can be used to make an ecobrick.
