Santiago Nasar "administered [his plantation] with very good judgement but without much luck" (5). I think that this quote describes Santiago Nasar quite well. On the morning of his death, he is without his guns that he always carried because he was dressed in white linens to greet the bishop. If it had have been any other morning, he would have been able to defend himself, but he was unlucky. He missed a note lying by the front door that carried a warning about the plot against his life. To me she represents the Latin American woman, and I was really excited to draw her and her components. When looking for a title, I thought of the line "Mistress of her fate for the first time, Angela Vicario then discovered that hate and love are reciprocal passions" (93). The drawing will be based on the initial description of him, looking “around 30 years old, but they were well-concealed, because he had the waist of a bull fighter, golden eyes, and a skin slowly roasted by saltpeter” (25). This description is the best for Bayardo because it gives the initial impression of him, but without delving into his charcter.
