How are you doing with your math facts? We had some friends in the red group graduate to subtraction this week! Focus some time on quick fact recall. You might play a game, do your own timed test, flash cards, or find your own way to practice. Remember, you are trying to beat your score each week.
Here are the levels:

Yesterday, we learned about comparing numbers. As math people, we use words like "greater than", "less than", and "equal to". Teach a parent how to compare 2 two-digit numbers. For example:
89 ___ 34

Try your own numbers! You can either spin your digits OR just think of numbers.

*Write 2 two-digit numbers
*Use symbols < = > to compare.
*Last, say your number sentence reading it left to right (just like a book!)
Example:
67 < 91
"Sixty-seven IS LESS THAN ninety-one"

Choice - either finish up a book you made OR make a new one.

Writer's Tip: Go slowly and carefully. You don't want to make a whole book in just one day. If you are, then think of more details you could add. Maybe spend a little longer on those bright, bold, beautiful pictures.

Phonics - Silly Sentences

Use page 26 that Mrs. W sent home in your supplies. Choose at least two pictures you think are silly. Can you guess some short /u/ words that are in each sentence? Have an adult helper read you (several times) the sentence. As you write, think about how to spell each word and check for capital letters and end marks.
Here's the sentences for today:
1. Grant dug up the stump.
2. Rick and Fran run and jump in the sun.
3. Did Bud lock the dump truck?
4. Chuck will dump the crust in the trash.
