First, we made a clay ball. Second, we cut the ball in half. Next, we dug out the inside of the halves and made little clay balls. We then wrapped the clay balls in a towel so they would not stick together and dry. We placed them inside of the large clay ball and put back together. In writing we are working on 'Bossy R' words. Some examples are: war, star, Mars, and far. Two fun sentences with bossy R:

1. I touch a star and it is very hot! 
2. I go to Mars and have a war with the aliens.

At times, it was challenging but everyone got the hang of it eventually. We just started addition and subtraction bar models. After practicing with the class and teacher several times I can now do it by myself.

We created our own Class 2A Cheer Squad at recess that is open to everyone. Our Cheer Squad has a routine with three different cheers and a stunt! 
Every Friday, starting this year, we have Walk Wednesday and Fit Friday.  On Wednesdays, we walk around the lake in the Park. On Fridays, we walk to The Oval in the park and workout! We do different activities to keep us fit and monitor our steps using our fitbits.
