In my country, Honduras, we celebrate Christmas in the following way: we start getting ready at 8:00 PM on December 24th. We buy new clothes for Christmas and New Year's to wear on those days (we called the new clothes "estrenos"). We have dinner around 10:00 PM, which usually consists of pork tamales, roast pork, roast chicken, accompanied by cold potato salad and green salad. For dessert, we often eat torrejas in honey or torrejas in honey, and we drink a traditional drink called rompopo, made from eggs and milk. After eating, we play music and spend time with family until midnight, when we begin December 25th. We hug and kiss each other, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. After midnight, we continue enjoying family time until the evening ends.

So for Christmas Eve we all wear matching pj's, drink warm egg not, and watch Christmas movies. Then the morning of, my children get up really early to unwrap their gifts, while I make a BIG breakfast before we go to Church. Then we come back, take a nap and then have a huge dinner with all of my family from out of town.
