1. Malala was not familiar with the place she was at. It was very different from Mingora, her home. All the houses looked the same. The clouds were gray and dark. The sun was not to be seen shining anywhere. I really connected to this part of the book because when I first came to Canada, I was also not familiar with the place. Back to the country in which I lived in there for 5 years of my life, I was used to seeing tall buildings, bright lights, busy and noisy streets. I lived in an apartment then, but now I live in a townhouse. The neighbourhood is so quiet with only few people wandering the streets. Whereas in the city I lived in, there were a lot of people walking around the streets, day and night, trying to get to the place in where they are supposed to be.
2. When Malala was at the hospital, she didn't cry. Not even once. After all the surgeries and travelling she had been doing. Mena was also hurting. She had a needle stuck in her hand for a week. She felt fear, but she didn't cry. She stayed brave. She didn't cower. And she had her family supporting her just like Malala.
3. Someone stole my mechanical pencil while I was out of the classroom. It happened in April 1st. It reminded me of when Malala got her phone stolen. I don't think that it is alright for people to take things that are not theirs, no matter how valuable they are, because they can't just possess something that does not belong to them.

1. There was a chapter that was the most exciting for me it was a place called Birmingham to we all here now. I liked these chapters because it really showed the kindness that could be brought out of people in an emergency. This is shown when Dr. Fiona and Dr. Javid were being kind to Mala. When Fiona was speaking to her she spoke softly and not harshly and answered most of Malala's question and tried and succeed in keeping her alive. I also liked Malala's green teddy bear even though in better light it was actually a white teddy bear.
2. Losing to someone like in test or races.
3. And lastly the part that connected the most was when Malala felt sad about how she looked and sometimes we don't like our appearances and try to change it.

Nothing felt the same when I moved here until I met some friends in Regina and Vancouver.
2. After Malala and her friends jumped into a waterfall and had a lot of fun, I felt the same when I went to Kiwanis Waterfall Park here in Regina. I went (secretly) into the waterfall and got in trouble by my dad (don't know why).
3. When my big sister, Ehla May, stole my favourite toy and teased me with it, I felt really sad and cried. Then, when I was older, I wanted revenge on her and stole her PC, only for a minute. (Malala wants revenge on Moniba for stealing her phone)

The event when Malala wanted to stand up for women rights really touched me because I believe everyone in the world should be equal and no one should be in a higher placement than anyone else.

2. In one of the chapter it really disgusted me that some people think that girls can't be good as the boys at everything. It's just that everyone is capable if the put their mind to it.

3. When Georgia went to Greece with her grandma and came back to Canada she really missed her brother and parents, and when she saw them she cried like Malala did when she saw her brother and parents.
