The first ever photography was of the outbuilding, tress and landscape from an upstairs bedroom window in France. The photograph was created by using his drawing, then he placed his first engravings which were made transparent, onto stones which were then coated with a light sensitive varnish (which he made himself). Then Joseph Niece started to experiment with his application of then popular instrument ( camera obscure) which then created his new medium.

The world’s first selfie was taken by Robert Cornelius, who was 30-years old old at the time. Cornelius who was a pioneer in the history of photography, used a form of photography called daguerreotype to capture the image. Eadweard Muybridge is remembered today for his pioneering photographic studies of motion, which led to the development of cinema. Muybridge invented the zoopraxiscope in 1879, a machine that allowed him to project up to two hundred single images on a screen. In 1880 he gave his first presentation of projected moving pictures on a screen to a group at the California School of Fine Arts, thus becoming the father of motion pictures. It worked by operating with rotating glass discs, the zoopraxiscope projected images onto each other in rapid succession, creating the illusion of movement

The Leica 1 was the first still camera made. The brain child of Oskar Barnack, the device was originally intended to be a testing device for small batches of 35mm film. The realisation hit Barnack and he shifted development into developing the device into the first camera. The Leica was vital for the development of camera's as it is the first and spurred on development of copies and improvements from other companies such as Canon and Kodak. A SLR is a single-lens reflex camera, the camera lens itself serves as a finder in conjunction with a ground glass mirror which is reflected by a mirror and the image is visible on the screen of what will be captured. The image may be different from the photo view and the final photo. Steven Sasson invented the first prototype for the digital camera in 1975 and later received rights for it in 1978. it was eight pounds and about the size of a toaster. Unfortunately, the first digital portrait photo was immediately lost to history.

This photo is an artificially crated image and the studio’s submission of a computer-generated image the top prize. The studio did immediately fessed up and refused the cash prize. This artificially crated photo is the image of two surfers in the water. The studio did it to prove that we’re at a turning point with artificially intelligent technology by passing the ultimate test – could an AI-generated image not only slip by unnoticed but actually be awarded the top prize by a photography expert.
