In building the turbine we used many different rotors, but the one we messed up on was the winner. My partner, Tipton, made a very unique sail rotor. We decided that the rotor was too even and the fan would catch it and just push it in the nacelle. So to fix this, I folded half of the rotor and made it only half of a sail. It was not the prettiest to look at, so we thought it would fail. During testing we realized that it rotated fast and pulled a lot of weight. When we started building the wind turbine we had to figure out how we would put the pieces together to make the wind turbine. The making of the rotor was the hardest part because our blade wouldn't stay on the straw. Then when we started to test the wind turbine it started out well, but the more we tested it the weaker the turbine got. So, I learned that after a couple times of testing we needed to give the turbine a break.
