         <description><![CDATA[<div>Faten: A coordinator's role in concerned with the day to day implementation of the programme. The coordinator should ensure that all requirements identified in different documents, but primarily Principles to Practice, are addressed. Further, The programme coordinator should ensure that everyone is up to date. In addition, the coordinator should create systems and processes in which she/he brings together the programme requirements and the local requirements effectively.Further, the coordinator is the link between the IB and the school andshould communicate updates effectively to the concerned school faculty. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Alana: As the coordinator at Deal, I align my daily work with the goals of the school and priorities of the head of school. Just yesterday I met with the principal, and we decided the first semester of this year will be focused on beefing up the school's understanding of ATL skills. From now until teachers return in August, I will be developing professional development resources. Another major component of my role is managing logistics for service projects, particularly the community project. Probably my favorite part of my role is connecting with other coordinators and sharing ideas and practices.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I have just been appointed a Coordinator of my school.As a Coordinator of my school, i will be aligning my work by ensuring that the requirments of the programme matches with the Mission, Vision, Values of the school. Keep the HoS and the Senior Leadership of the school updated with any changes in the programme requirement. Also ensure that all aspects of programme requirements are met, and focus on areas that need immediate attention.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Facilitate the PD after carefully establishing the needs of the teachers, the programme and the students. Ensuring that Student achievement, developing the core of the programme, ensuing that parents and students are kept informed about the requirements of the programme. Also being a coordinator, it is important to ensure that any change is not only conveyed to all, but ensure that changes are implemented with a good understanding of the changes. As an MYP coordinator, ensuring collaboration occurs in its truest form must occur amongst staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jamie: &nbsp;</div><div>A coordinator is to make sure that the staff understand the requirements of the MYP and know how to deliver these requirements. The coordinator therefore must also have an excellent working knowledge of the requirements in order to be able to support others effectively. The coordinator must also attempt to identify where these requirements are not being met or could be met more successfully and address these issues through working closely with the teachers. In some cases the coordinator can work with the teachers themself but should also attempt to develop systems which where teachers support each other. If additional support is needed such as external IB training then the coordinator should provide information about this to staff.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The coordinator is also the official point of contact between the school and the IBO and the person who is responsible for overseeing the administrative side of the programme.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The coordinator should also try to ensure that the MYP is well understood throughout the school and that there is an alignment of the school’s values and the MYP’s values.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Coordinator to me is like the Spider - oversees and helps staff-students to make connections. The web is Standards and Practices; MYP Key command terms such as IBLP; IM: Global Contexts and Projects. The role and the responsibilities go hand in hand: the main role is the personify IBLP i.e. caring for students and staff; knowledgeable of the the IB requirements; risk taker in testing and implementing new teaching strategies;&nbsp; principled in ensuring that IB teaching philosophy is carried out; communicator as the glue between students/staff/management and parents; reflective in the capacity of curriculum leader and observer of teaching practices...</div>]]></description>
