Centre for Lifelong Learning case study: Adult learners express a stronger sense of belonging to their course rather than the University - and this could equate to their experiences navigating learning, rather than the social aspects of university life.

CLL students have been using Gathertown, a popular virtual conference and digitised spaces platform, to form peer connections, discuss assignment support, and enhance academic skills confidence. It has been particularly successful with students with caring responsibilities.

Global Café programme

Warwick Foundation Studies case study: The global café programme was designed with various events for international students at Westwood, to encourage a sense of belonging and introduce students to other services as well as societies on campus.

The café events provide a safe space for IFP students and, by extension, became a vehicle for community building.

They also helped raise awareness of other student services (e.g. via therapy dogs) which weaved in discussions around wellbeing.
