My educational aspirations consist of acquiring a bachelor's degree in Bussiness Administration. I choose this career because I have always had a passion for finding innovative and easy ways of saving. During the last 2 years I have worked part time in a restaurant. I came to live to the United States 4 years ago, and my whole family stayed in Cuba; for me it's one of the most challenging steps I have had to take in life.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Can this be used in biology? How?<br><br></div><div><br></div><div>Claim, evidence, and reasoning are used in all spheres of the real world. These are vital skills that every student needs to participate in the world around us and, above all, to be successful in life. On the other hand, in the branch of biology, it is common to use them to understand the conclusions reached at the end of a scientific experiment or an engineering design solution; the student must always have objective evidence. According to the claim, evidence, and reasoning (CER) model, an explanation consists of a claim that answers the question, evidence from student data, and reasoning that involves a scientific principle. Evidence and reasoning come in the final step of the scientific and engineering process, forming a conclusion. In conclusion, the model (CER) is a handy tool.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Color is variable. Hatchlings generally have a black carapace, white plastron, and white margins on the shell and limbs. The adult carapace is smooth, keelless, and light to dark brown with dark mottling; the plastron is whitish to light yellow. Adult heads are light brown with yellow markings. Influenza (flu) and COVID-19 are contagious respiratory illnesses, but different viruses cause them. This year the flu viruses in the country have killed 1 in 2000 people who contracted them; children and the elderly are the most likely to die. Without its substrate an enzyme is a slightly different shape. The substrate causes a conformational change, or shape change, when the substrate enters the active site. The active site is the area of the enzyme capable of forming weak bonds with the substrate. This shape change can force two or more substrate molecules together, or split individual molecules into smaller parts. Most reactions that cells use to stay alive require the actions of enzymes to happen fast enough to be useful. These enzymes are directly coded for in the DNA of the organism.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Of all the species of sea turtles, the green turtle is my favorite. This turtle plays a vital role in maintaining the health of the world's oceans. A new study reveals that rising temperatures are turning the population of green turtles almost entirely female north of the Great Barrier Reef. Because the incubation temperature of turtle eggs determines the sex of the animal, a warmer nest results in more females. Rising temperatures in North Queensland related to climate change have resulted in virtually no male northern green sea turtles hatching. On the other hand, scientists and wildlife managers are looking for practical ways to help turtles. One possibility is a shade cloth erected over the main nesting beaches that could help lower nest temperatures to produce more males.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Sea and land turtles are some of the oldest species on the planet. My selected species, "the green turtle," belongs to marine turtles, whose first specimens date from 220 million years ago, making them one of the oldest groups of primitive reptiles still inhabiting the earth. Sea turtles evolved from land and freshwater turtles, which lived about 230 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. The green turtle is the giant hard-shelled sea turtle. They are unique among sea turtles because they are herbivores and eat mainly sea grass and algae. This diet is the one that gives the greenish color to its fat (not its shell), hence its name. Its useful life is 70 years or more, and its population status is threatened. I learned that symbiosis could be defined as any relationship or interaction between two different organisms, each of which can benefit from its partners that it did not have while living alone. Symbiotic relationships are an essential component of life in the ocean. In such relationships, plants or animals of different species may depend on each other for survival. They may share habitats or lifestyles or interact in a way that benefits from the presence of another organism. On the other hand, there are three types of symbiosis: mutualism, in which both organisms benefit each other; commensalism, in which only one organism benefits while the other is neither helped nor harmed; and parasitism, where one organism benefits while the other organism is harmed. It is essential to know that symbiotic relationships can help measure the health of an ecosystem.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>I'm not a big science person and grumble at the thought of taking a science class, but this online biology course has been one of my best classes. It is well-planned, designed, and easy to follow for all students.<br>This has been my third online class, and your homework and exams have made me think and look for the answers that allowed me to learn more. I liked accessing the information at any time of the day. I enjoyed the biological aspects of the class, specifically the different species of marine life and their interaction and place in the food chain. On the other hand, it was excellent to have the flexibility to log in at my convenience to do the work; I also liked the course notes given by the instructor; they were very informative. I learned to enjoy biology and to see the whole field as a whole, from a new perspective. Another critical point was the tests; these were very interesting, and with a substantial amount of time to do them, his grades were very fast. I don't have any negative experiences in this course, and everything I've learned has been beneficial.<br>In conclusion, I am much more open to learning about different sciences after taking this class. I must say that I learned so many things that I probably never would have known if I hadn't taken this course. I will always be grateful, Professor Rene Revuelta; you have been great.<br><br></div>]]></description>
