         <description><![CDATA[<div>About 5 million men had volunteered.&nbsp;There is a different between volunteering and being drafted. The volunteers were men that were willing to be in the war. Being drafted means you are unwilling picked to be in the war. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All men from their 18th birthday to the day before their 45th birthday were subjected to registered into the war. Men up to the day before their 65th birthday were required to sign up. Draftees were selected by a lottery, if you were drafted you served up to 12 months. This act provided not more than 900,000 in training. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Pearl Harbor was attack on December 7th, 1941 there were only a few women in the Army Nurse Corps. By the end of  the second war over 350,000 women had served in the military. Women serving in any type of combat was an approach to the public, and for many American's to accept. This lead to the The House of Representatives, created the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) in May of 1942. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Women's employment increased during the second war, from 5.1 million to just over 7.25 million. 46% women between the ages of 14 and 59, and 90% of able-bodied women between the ages of 18 and 40 were engaged in some type of work or national service. Women were resorted to a local level of fighting for equal pay and work. </div>]]></description>

This was introduced because there were certain things that were in supply. Ration books were issued to each American family, determining the amount of supplies you bought. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>War bonds were a way to remove money from circulation and to reduce inflation. These bonds were actually a loan to the government to help finance the war. The War Finance Committee was the one in charge of selling war bonds. The bond campaign was unique in that both the government, as well as companies.</div>]]></description>
