Because of all the living difficulties in towns, it was very easy for the black death to spread. Then the cities and towns became to get too filled with dead bodies and the living conditions started to get tough for people who didn't have the Black Death because they were living in the infected city and the Black Death could be easily spread in a town or city because people weren't very clean in that time. This picture shows what the living conditions would have been like in the city.

To treat the black death they would do different things such as vinegar and water treatments which is where they would put a person with the black death to bed and wash them with vinegar and water. Another treatment is lancing the buboes which is where they cut open the buboes and allow the disease to leave the body and then a mixture would be placed where the body has been cut.

Because the people in the Middle Ages thought that diseases were spread through the air, they would burn incense such as juniper and rosemary to stop the air from being infected. They would also dunk their handkerchiefs in aromatics so they don't breathe in the bad air. They also thought that loud sounds such as church bells and loud cannons would word off the plague. This photo doesn't show the prevention so of the Black Death but shows how the Black Death doctors would prevent themselves from getting the Black Death. They would stuff their masks with herbs which is the same concept as burning the aromatics.
