Looking back to the history of this current virus , Corona, the spread rate continuously rise due to travel and trade , weak immune system , returning OFW’s, globalization ,over -populated cities . Thus , spread of virus is highly observed in an open economy . In a study , any infectious diseases leading to pandemics are caused by zoonotic pathogens that were transmitted to humans due to increased contacts with animals through breeding, hunting and global trade activities .Additionally, priority is given to the profit while there is negligence to the people’s need . Pandemic is a recurring event in the world and this could be controlled if only authorities put priority to the needs of majority .Pandemic could be prevented to some extent if medical companies should have started developing vaccines for viruses .

Thereafter , pandemic has an impact in the economy , it has affected mental health and has a social impact . In the economic sector , pandemic can result to increase in expenditure , decline in tax revenues and economic downfall .

The graph shows the mortality rate in all age group, from ages 0-70 + years old among the population of the Philippines in the year 2013 . Obviously, The graph is very transparent in over all rate of mortality in specific ages . The purpose of this report is to relatively study the simple patterns of changes in mortality rates in different age groups during the transition from high to low mortality levels .

In the graph , it is very clear that in the Philippines , it is the old ages that claim the most number of deaths. The very high mortality rate is from ages 70 and above at about 73 % rate . This are perhaps due to low level of ability and capacity to live .

Moreover , the rate of mortality among the ages 1 and below is also high at about 12 % . Very young ones also claim the most of the deaths of the year especially those during the formative stage which extends from a a few month before birth .

To conclude , the rate of mortality increases as age increases. Leveling up of mortality rate at very early -old ages is faster . This expresses that ageing corresponds to a progressive decline in the physical and mental ability of a person leading to high mortality rate as age increases .

TRAVEL LITERARY ANALYSIS

Analysing travel literatures will equip us to understand the conventions of travel writing .To learn a bit about the history of the genre , question why people wants to travel and investigate what it means to be a tourist and the impact of tourism on places in the world . Analysis of travel literature also will allow us to investigate the overlap between language and literature that exists in the wide and varied genre of travel writing .

“ Where to find warriors queens , fairies and castles in Scotland” an example of travel literature and a mythical Scottish literature by Connor Mcgovern which is about the writers’ journey to Scotland and how he find the setting of the warrior queens , fairies and castles in that place .

Works of literature feature innumerable figures of speech that are used as literary devices . In this literature the author made use of imagery to activate the readers mind to imagine than place where he is . It is actually an effective method to get the readers attention not just to read but to actively incorporate their imagination to the place being described . These can actually add meaning to literature and showcase the power and beauty of the nature . Example from the literature “ Shaped like raven’s wings spreading into the sea of Herbrides..”. The writer also used a lot of emotional words and long paragraph to share his journey while travelling . It is very clear that when the writer travelled he was able to know histories of the places and the reasons why those certain places were chosen to be the setting of the queens and fairies in that place. A clear statement that proves this was when Duncan said to the traveler “ I can’t imagine being anywhere else now,. I like being up here out of the way – I hear all the gossip from Elgo without having to be there”.

Out of the travelers journey to the home of the fairies queens and castles . He was able to describe each of the place that composes his journey . He described Skye –the theatre of natural drama , where legends like Scathach’s have played out of century . He said , it’s a suitable place for tales of warriors and witches , given the brooding mountains , moorland , tumbling waterfalls ,and loch-frayed coasts that hint at a violent , element past . He also give a detailed background of the weather in Scotland . The traveller described it as dramatic as landscapes , changing at a moment’s notice like the whims of a God . As to observe , the writer doesn’t simply described the place , rather he made use of comparative statements . Also , description of the places was less emphasized on the picturesque and sublime , rather it gives more focus on the historical background of the place .

Aside from the description of the places stated by the traveler , he also give a greater detail in the lives of the people. He describe them by their possessions. Example from the article “ One person who is well –versed is Skye’s landscapes is Scott Mackenzie , the gamekeeper at the 23 , 000 acre Eilean Iarmain . The way the author gives description focus on the historical background just like he describe places . I believe that these are credited largely to one factor , the writings medium influences what is being stressed as the purpose of the writer .

Aside from giving detailed descriptions for the places and the people , the author also incorporated the dialogues he was able to encounter in his travel . Like their dialogue between the tour guide ,the people in that place that he met on his way. Dialogue in reality can also help charge scenes with emotion , heightening tension between characters and provides exposition while sounding natural and lifelike to readers .

The author also incorporated images and photos in the article . This includes the image of the Old Man Storr on the Trotternish peninsula of Skye , a dramatic rock .Also , the image of Skye’s largest township . Images and photos actually evoke the readers emotion as what the writers wanted them to feel . Also pictures in a travel literary will bring you to place being described in that piece, though you did not literary step-in to that place but out of imagination you are in that place .

In addition to the content, the style of the article resembles a one-sided argumentative essay, ‘arguing’ about the pros of travelling. The paragraph starts with a topic sentence, then the writer’s elaboration on the sentence. For example, ‘(Travelling) shows us the sights and values that we might ordinarily ignore. Travelling consists not only in seeing new places but in seeing with new eyes”.
