Describe one fitness test for each of the components of fitness.
The sit and reach test is a test of flexibility. To do this the person must sit down with their legs straight and lean forwards until they cannot no more. To set up this test all you need is a sit and reach box which measures how many centremetres that someone can reach. This test tests how tight/loose your hamstrings are.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The advantages of the sit and reach test is that it doesn't take very long to carry out due to the simplicity of the test. This is good as it can be done in a very short period of time. However buying the correct equipment can cost the consumer quite a lot of money. This means that this test may not be accessible to everyone. Carrying out this test doesn't require too much skill as it's a very simple. This is good as it means that people who have little to no sports knowledge/ability can carry out this test.

Aerobic Endurance: This test is called the 12 minute cooper run. This is when someone runs continuously for 12 minutes while trying to run the longest distance that they can. This tests their aerobic endurance as they are working for 12 minutes continuously. To set up this test you need a piece of land which you know the exact perimeter of, for example a running track. Not much equipment is needed for this test, only a piece of equipment that can time for twelve minutes. The person then records how many laps they ran which they then convert into distance.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The advantages of this test is the pure simplicity of it. All someone has to do is run for 12 minutes and record the distance that they ran. This means that this test can be done by all sporting abilities. Another advantage of this test is the extremely low cost of it. This means that people with little money can take part in this test.
Body composition: To test someone's body composition they must take part in the hip to waist ratio test. This test tests how much excess fat that is around the waist. Pinch the skin that is around the waist and measure the amount of fat. This test helps someone work out the amount of fat that is on their body. To set up this test all you need is skin fold calipers.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The advantage of this test is that it can give an accurate reading if done properly. However this test can make some people feel very self conscious of their body. This is bad as some people may take the reading as something bad and drastically changed their lifestyle because of it. Also this test can be extremely inaccurate if this test is done wrong. This can lead to readings that may not be reliable.

Muscular Endurance: To test muscular endurance the participant should take par in the 1 minute press up test. As certain muscles are working continuously, such as biceps and pectorals, it's a good way to measure muscular endurance. No equipment is needed for this test apart from a safe area to do a press-up and a timer.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The advantages of this test is that its the results are extremely basic to read and record. The test can be done anywhere in any weather condition without it being a hazard to the participant. However, there are factors that will easily affect the participants performance, with muscle fatigue being the major factor. If someone's used their arms extensively throughout the day it will greatly affect their performance. This means that the results may be vary greatly, not giving a truthful result. Also this test only measures upper body endurance not legs.

Dxj
Speed: To test someones speed the participant should take part in the 30 metre dash. This test primarily tests someones acceleration due to the short distance as they may not be able to reach their maximum speed. To set up this test the participant must first measure a 30 Metre distance with a tape measure or any other measuring device. The runners partner must then count from 3,2,1 GO and start the timer once the runner has started. The friend stops the timer once the runner has crossed the finish line. It's advised to do this test 3 times so the average speed can be found.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The advantage of doing this test is that it's simple to set up and is very cheap run. This means that anyone of any economic class can do this test with no trouble. However results from this test may not be as accurate as they could be as the person who stops the timer will never stop it exactly as soon as they cross the line. This means that if someone wants the exact result they will have to purchase the correct equipment, this may be very expensive ;not everyone will be able to afford this equipment.

Power: To test someone's power they should tae part in the Standing Broad Jump test. This measures how much power the person can generate through a still motion. To do this test someone needs to be stationary and then jump as far forward as they can without having any momentum with them. The equipment needed for this test is any form of measuring device that can measure a reasonable distance, for example a measuring tape. The distance jumped is measured from the jumper's heels. It's advised to do this test 3 times so you can find an average.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The main advantage for this test is the simplicity of it. This means that people with no prior sports knowledge do this test with confidence. However the results may not be exact as the jumper may move after they land on the original point. This may lead to inaccurate readings. This means that if someone wants the exact result they will have to purchase the correct equipment, this may be very expensive.

Strength: To tests someone's strength they should take part in the grip strength test. This test measures how strong someone is through their hand clench. The participant needs to clench the grip strength dynamometer as hard as they can. This then gives a reading on how strong their hand clench is. This can be used to give a basic understanding on how strong someone is.
Advantages and Disadvantages: The main advantage of this test is how accurate the reading is. This means that someone will be able to have a strong set of results to work with. If the reading is digital it's easy for someone to record without doubting their judgement. However the grip strength dynamometer can cost quite a lot of money. Not everyone will be able to afford this equipment.
