What is his/her story?

•He came from the quraish family. His father was not a believer. When the muslims migrate to Abbysinia, Amr bin Aas with more mushrikun followed them and requested the king to return the believers. The king said no to Amr and told him to accept islam instead bc Prophet Muhammad will overpower and will win over just like prophet musa with firaun.

What is his/her contribution in Islam

•He fought against the Muslims in the battle of Badr and Uhud but felt he was in the wrong side. 
One day, he decided to leave Mecca and go to Madinah to accept Islam. He met Khalid bin Walid and Othman bin Talha on the way to Madinah, who wanted to accept Islam too. 
When he gave his allegiance to prophet Muhammad, he requested the prophet to forgive his past sins. Rasullulah said that the moment a person who accepts Islam, all the sins he did before will be forgiven. He was pleased and took part in all the prophet’s battle. When Rasullulah pass away, he was out of Madinah.

What are the lessons that we can learn from him/her?

We can learn that he was very courageous. He left his rich family and followed his heart to follow Islam.
•He was an intelligent and great warrior and a strategist in war. He conquered Palestine, Egypt.

•When he went to the river nile, he noticed there were many offerings to the river. He stop that but the river nile became lesser. It dried up so he told Khalifah Omar wrote a letter to the river which says in the name of allah the most graceful, if u believe in Allah, u will let the water flow. Then the water from the river starts to flow as per normal.

•When he conquered Egypt, he told the Egyptians that the messenger told them to be respectful bc they come from the same linage which is prophet Islam who is the son of Siti Hajar.
