Bio -

City/Hometown: Hartford, Connecticut

Birth-date: April 7th, 2006

Why he became an artist: "I just want to help y'all"

Accolades?(Achievements): He has been gaining recognition into the rap industry and he is at 74k on Instagram, 145,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Started from rapping with his little cousin, recently dropped a song with G Herbo - Chicago's greatest.

Real Name: Marcus Black

How did they grow up?: His first song was at just 12 years old and after that he got hooked to it. Now at the age of 19 he keeps his music real, talking about his struggles through his lyrics, trying to create music that people (like me) could relate to. His mother was his rock and she was the one who always believed in him while his father was more of a hustler and he Black took after him. Before rap started getting bigger he moved out of his parents house to start selling his own clothing then his music got bigger and his clothing brand started selling crazy.

Going over the lyrics

I first started listening to Black when he only had like 900 people listen to him. My friend had put me on to him and I have always listened to him then. He speaks directly to the people that are struggling with problems or just to make people feel better. Sometimes he'll have personal conversations in songs and the beats he uses are mostly samples or fast rhythm beats. His lyrics are where he is now:

"I don't **** with ****** they don't stay to the code, I'm riding dolo I was sharing the rolls, I'm getting money while I'm ******** these ****. "

"If I feel like you weird I cut you off quick. So my ****** I got it but who goin help me when the times hard tho. (****** never want to help me when I be helping them)"

This song carries a lot of emotion and he's speaking from experience, hinting that people shouldn't always be trusted because they could really hurt you. I felt what he said when he said this and had to listen to it again. He really has had emotional scars during this song.

My Narrative

Black could inspire so many people with his lyrics, he doesn't sugarcoat any of his lyrics he talks truthfully. He is honest and keeps showing growth for his struggle. Reminding people they aren't always alone. He's trying to tell his younger audience that is going through problems to express what they're feeling instead of just bottling it all up. Also listening to the lyrics could help, like he's been through everything he talks about.

In a world full of fake flexing this and that, Black stays his grounds and raps like someone who lived it all, not pretending it. Building real connection to his listeners, when people like me connect like that, growing and feeling more inspired to be more true to themselves and I have been listening to him everyday. For Black, when it's either dealing with pressure or watching people switch up, Blackedy keeps moving forward. I have been feeling great ever since the Quarantine and I'm telling you he helps.

He even makes his own brand of clothes, I wish to buy some soon but he kinda overpriced. He names it "bl noir" noirspam is a spam account he makes music off of as well. He makes more unreleased songs on that.

More Lyrics

"I look up to the sky and pray to the Lord just hoping he blessed me. I just hope he keep the real around them fake ass people always tryna test me."

"I don't really understand why tho I been trapping with my manz and giving everyone a plate can't say that I don't try, tho. If I feel like you ******* me over, I'm goin won't hesitate, won't say bye ***."

These lyrics are like a code of loyalty to me because he is really rooting to these real-life struggles. Black and I have a lot in common in my opinion:

He wants to be surrounded by actual genuine/loyal people, so do I. I really hate the fake things people doing. Black is confused by how everyone he once was friends with betrayed him, like a couple people I no longer associate with. He also is the one who expects realness in return as I do, if I am real with you, you should be too. Like you should start to value real ones more because the fake ones drain you.

Blackedy always dropped more singles and EP's more than he dropped albums. He was in between with a couple different labels and he got signed at a young age and is still grinding.

His Samples

Black is knowing for using his sadder samples and sometimes I haven't even noticed it. Today on Friday May 2nd, 2025, Blackedy dropped a song throwing me off and he came even harder than ever. I didn't notice till a couple hours after but he sampled Nettspend, a very influential artist and it showed me that he is still going up with this making music stuff. He has over 100 songs sampled and they all are really great. Some you could dance to, some chill, some relaxing. He has everything to make you feel better.

"Me and my brothers we get to the paper all that really matter is put this **** first. counting me out I was the underdog kinda crazy that **** happen on reverse."

"****** pressed cuz I'm going up, I brush em right off brush em like a fly. I'm the type of ***** I just leave and **** I just tell you goodbye."

He uses his lyrics so perfectly and his beats are actually really good, he influences me everyday to sometimes get up. He's helped me so much in my life, I am still so happy till this day that my friend put me on to him.

Why should you listen to him?

If I were you I would listen to his music because his words coming out on the mic, always sound good. You have to listen to his lyrics to understand what and how you and him could feel. I used to relate to some of the things he said before he started getting more popular. You could really connect to what he's trying to tell you, with his diverse community.

In songs like "Suffer in Silence" or "I was in Love" they both have a draining relationship of healing and understanding of self-worthiness. When he starts rapping about mental health issues and personal life issues he uses tones in his voice that make you feel like you've never heard it. Every song I can't really get sick of because in all of them he seems like the struggle is truly real, and fighting.
