The term homophobia refers to the aversion towards homosexuality or against homosexual men or women, although it usually includes other people who integrate sexual diversity, such as bisexual, transsexual and transgender people.

 Homophobia is a term to describe rejection, fear, disgust, towards people who recognize themselves as homosexual. This term is used for all people who are part of the lgbt + community

Unfortunately in Latin America and around the world there are still cases of homophobia, to the point of committing homicides or making that person reach the point of committing suicide. The word homophobia was first used by the American psychologist George Weinberg in 1971.

Due to homophobia, they are forced to flee Latin America to save their lives. They have said that being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual is a disease, and they are forced to go to a psychiatric hospital because it is not "normal". It is also taken as a kind of "disease".

There are several types of homophobia:

• Institutional homophobia

• Homophobia in heterosexuals

• Homophobia in homosexuals

• Learned homophobia

In general, people who are harassed by homophobia, biphobia or transphobia feel lonely and are afraid to tell what happens to them. You should never receive this type of treatment. There are studies that have linked hatred towards homosexuality with their own latent or repressed homosexual feelings
