He was born in Woolsthorpe, England.. His father died 3 months before newton was born. His mother left him at a early age. Because of this he felt insecure and defended his work greatly.
Newton was able to go into school. He was reunited with his mother and taken out of school to be a farmer. This failed and Newton went back to school. He went to Trinity College and had to work to stay in school.
When Newton arrived at Trinity the Scientific Revolution of the 17th Century was I full force. He was fascinated with science. He kept extra notes that showed he had discovered the new concept of nature that provided the frame work for the Scientific Revolution.
He won the title of scholar and financial support for 4 years. While the school was closed he made the method of infinitesimal calculus, set foundations for his theory for light and color, and learned more on planetary motion.
After the plague Newton returned to Cambridge and was elected minor fellow. he got his master's degree at age 27. He wrote a treatie De Analysi and shared it with his mentor, Isaac Barrow. he took it to a publisher. Newton's work was shown to the mathematic commuity

Newton contributed much to physics. He made the 3 laws of motion which contributed to his discovery of gravity. his first was a object will remain in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. His second was the greater the mass the greater the force needed to accelerate the object will be. His third is for every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. When the apple fell out of the tree he decided there was a force that pulled it down. Then he asked what if the tree was taller? it would still fall. Those are some of the ways Newton contributed to physics.

Newton was very religious. He wrote more about the bible than science. He wrote about 1.3 million words on the bible. he sometimes studied the bible for days or even weeks at a time. he was especially interested in miracles and prophecies. When he died 3 earls, 2 dukes and the lord of chancellor attended. No scientist has been so revered with such high honor.
