I wasn't expecting some of the activities that we did today. Some of them gave me a weird feeling but in a good way. Today also allowed me to get to some of the people on zoom so now instead of not knowing anyone at first, I at least know the people from my breakout room.

At first I was anxious/awkward about doing the various activities but it ended up pushing me out of my comfort zone and I especially enjoyed the party activity.

I was actually surprised and impressed with some of the activities we did today. At first I felt embarrassed and timid. However once I saw everyone else performing the activities I felt more at ease .

It was awesome to get to know the Allstars Staff and Mindy more! What stood out to me was when I asked a question and one of my peers answered with "you can say "so you mean.." or "if I am understanding correctly..". People are interested in helping you learn more." I never head that before and will definitely will use this in future networking events!

Today was definitely great! I appreciate the volunteers being vulnerable in answering some of the questions asked and genuinely taking the time to network with us. In addition, telling us about their journey since college, and their personal and professional sides of life. I was definitely more curious about them the more I got to know them and I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us next week!

Today's resume workshop was extremely informational. I enjoyed learning about the different experiences, projects the people in my team have done. In addition, our volunteer from RBC, Jason kept it real with us and definitely gave some tips on landing our desired internship or job!

This session was really emotional for me and hearing other people's stories about the poverty they experienced and the pressure they felt being a child of immigrants. It was a very relatable and interesting session for me, and I felt less alone as I also feel pressure to go to college and get a computer science degree to make money, and essentially live up to the standard my brother set, as he already graduated. I appreciate everyone sharing their stories a lot!

I really enjoyed our how to interview with Ashton, he was amazing at listening to us and catering to each one of us individually. My group and I learned that our introduction is really what shapes our character and is what will set the tone for our interviewer.

I really enjoyed today's meeting. I learned a lot and how its okay to switch jobs if you don't think it is for you. I always thought that jobs are something that you have to sort of stick with until the end and it kind of refrained from trying new things. After today I learned that you have to try new things before you know whether you like it or not.

My biggest takeaway from today's workshop is that "being interested in other people is a great skill." Time flies by with our weekly programming almost coming to an end, which makes me sad, but I am also happy to observe my progress in getting more comfortable with asking questions. I may be interested in doing the imagination speech if I can have more information or support with drafting it.

My mock interview experience was very smooth, informative, and enjoyable. My interviewer was Liam Day, and he's a very kind, helpful, attentive, and understanding person. It was great to meet him and get to know his background and learn about his job position.

During this interview, the questions were simple to answer, although it did make me brainstorm a little more about my past connecting to my present than usual. I did not hesitate to answer the questions out of its entirety and I was more than happy to provide details about those moments that counted the most. I wasn't nervous or running out of things to say since each question was intriguing.

I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual escape room experience, despite encountering some technical difficulties at the start. Eventually, I managed to overcome these obstacles and collaborate with my peers to unravel mysteries. Since it was my inaugural escape room experience, I was unsure of what to expect and found myself perplexed. Nevertheless, my fellow participants provided clarity, and we worked as a team to conquer the challenges and break free from the room. The whole experience was invigorating, as we bonded and solved problems together!

The virtual escape room was super fun! It was honestly more difficult than I expected but it was great communicating with the team about what the next steps were and how to solve the puzzle. We were able to work as a team to solve the puzzles and I loved how we split up the tasks to complete it faster. Overall, we had a great bonding experience with each other.

I really enjoyed my mock job interview I feel that I worked well with my interviewer I asked them about themselves and connected with them on certain things I used some of the skills I learned during the DSY program I Made sure I asked questions and I believe I gave a good summary of who I am and what I’d like to accomplish. Over all it was an amazing experience and I’m glad that I got to experience this.

Performance has helped me grow by giving me the confidence and social skills that are necessary to succeed in the workforce. By performing things like curiosity, I learned to network. By performing personal branding, I learned to sell myself when talking to interviewers. Both of these and more performances helped me develop professionally as well as personally. They helped me with the professional aspect of networking, interviewing, and public speaking while also helping me with the personal aspect of confidence, curiosity, and selling myself.
