I don't wish to plan too early, I am sure this course will give me enough motivation and hints to the what, where and how of the unknown I wish to dive into.

I am also involved in the development of a CBD business franchising. CBD Industry is growing significantly all over the world, for this reason, I want to refine my proposal to investors about this commerce I have started leading on the last year. This business has now 9 high street shops and 2 online shops.

So, I decided to take this course to help me in both challenges and now I am sure that I have made the right decision.

I'm a food technologist with about 20 yrs experience in Indian Food and Beverage Processing Sector with global exposure. I have worked in some big companies like PepsiCo India, Marico India, Heritage Foods etc before becoming an entrepreneur about 9 yrs back. I now consult to small and medium scale companies on various processing and packaging concepts / technologies from concept to commissioning. 

Was a co-founder for a startup a few years back where we launched India's first baby food brand called Happibo. My role was more on technical side while other co-founders were responsible for go to market strategy, marketing and finance. Due to lack of focus / priority, we closed down the business during covid lockdown after nearly 3 yrs of operation. 

Reason behind joining this course is to learn and implement another business idea about which I have been thinking for the last few months.

I've always wanted to start my own business, and the start-up I was working for has just been acquired by my old company (Accenture), so I thought rather than going full circle, take a leap of faith and follow something that will give me much more satisfaction and hopefully add value to others too.
 
Very briefly: I completed my Masters in Chemical Engineering at Imperial in 2015, started my career at Accenture for 2.5 years (focusing mainly within Financial Services moving into Robotics and AI), then moved to a Data & AI Consulting start-up for 2.5 years (again within Financial Services with a focus on Behavioural Change Design). As of this week, I'm trying to start a business!

Having been inspired by the likes of Global Citizen, Give India, Gates Foundation, & Goodera -  it dawned on me that having spent 20 years working in the Private Sector, there are some 800m people everyday that don't have access to basic human rights, which has been made worse by the impact of Covid-19. This led me to realise that, ‘we make a living by what we have, but make a life by what we give’, and that this life must be used to also serve others.  After taking some time to evaluate my future career path,  I have decided to combine my passions –  Philanthropy, Human Rights  & the SDGs to create 8BN  - A Conduit & Enabler that will work with Individuals & Organisaitions around the world on how they can align themselves to the UN's Global Goals and in turn making the World a Better Place. I am hoping that this course will give me all the knowledge and tools to be able to set up 8BN over the course of the coming months.
