If say the invention of the first steam engine aligned with an increase in death rates then there would be plausible correlatiom between the events, the invention on the first coke aligning with increased death rates however, seems like just a coincidence.

Baleen was a strong, light, flexible and hard wearing material that was also easily manipulated. It had many uses such as bristles on chimney sweep brushes and upholstery stuffing but it’s most profitable and popular uses for a while was in corsets. As well as this at the time Baleen was considered a type of whale bone but this was not the case as it was actually a type of thicker skin.
