How did this assignment compare to taking a regular, single photo? Think about planning, shooting, composition, exposure, details, etc. Tell me what the whole experience felt like from concept to finished image.

Compared to taking a regular, single photo, Hockney composites required much more planning and focus. When taking a single photo, most of the work is finding a good photo to take. When taking composites, one has to find a good scene, but also has to focus while taking the photo to make sure the framing is correct and is not overlapping. The whole experience overall took more time, but was more rewarding at completion than taking one photo and seeing it on a camera screen immediately.

What do you think about Photoshop?

Personally, I have only lightly used photoshop in the past for photo assignments. I like photoshop and I think it is very capable of professional editing, but I think to fully utilize all of its features one must either have ample experience with it or spend a lot of time learning how to use it.
