I wish I receive more feedback on my lessons and teaching methods, or if there’s no feedback to give at least say “your all good” or something along those lines instead of just wondering what the thoughts are.

I have enjoyed my experience so far, she has helped me through a lot of my questions and hardships. I like how she is helpful but honest and helps give good constructive criticism.

I really like my IC, she helped me so much with my PBL lesson plans when I was confused on how to achieve a good plan. She has also aided me in class when I was still learning classroom management. She also does meetings and helps us focus on our goals in the classroom. I also like that she gives me great constructive criticism!

I’m always looking for opportunities to be better at something I’m new at, so it’s really helpful to receive feedback, even with examples. I make sure to use them in my classroom. The Grow is that since they only come to one class period, they only see how we work in that class period so they analyze how I move in that one.

For the ELA IC I wish they wouldn’t put last minute corrections on the lesson plans and would stay longer in my classes to give me more feedback on what I should to differently or improve on.

I did not receive feedback on my first pbl until we were already into the 2nd week of activity, so there was very little I could actually change in time. I also still have not received any feedback on my second pbl which I will be starting next week. Although I have received some good advice I would really appreciate more presence and timeliness in order to actually be able to put that feedback into practice.

I enjoy my interactions with my IC! She is very honest, professional, and helpful. If anything, I like constructive feedback but don’t know when too much is too much so getting some more guidance when creating PPTs and how to implement different ways to teach things/keep the material engaging without doing the same activities again would be nice.

The science IC has been very helpful in developing my pbl and helping me develop it as the scholars gave feedback and helped provide additional materials for the scholars to assist in their learning

I get insightful and thoughtful feedback on every aspect of me and my co-teachers lesson plans/ PBLs. I am never feeling like I do not know what I need to fix, or when I’m stuck, and I also get help on engaging activities and tools I can utilize

Science - no complaints, does well with giving feedback and pointers on how to improve. Continuously puts in the effort to help with PBLs first hand.

ELA - no complaints, helpful but I feel isn’t always in the loop of things are taking in the wrong direction sometimes.

Math - Very helpful and is a great helping hand when needed.

History - Helpful for how to deal with behaviors and discipline actions in a respectful and helpful way.

Provides specific strategies to be more engaging in the classroom environment. Would appreciate more specific advice on how to make the lesson plans themselves engaging, especially for the scholars who are not innately interested in english. I can definitely tell that she is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about what she is doing and appreciate her feedback.

My IC has been helpful for the most part. The comments left on my PBL lesson plans are rather general. Furthermore, the comments I received on my first PBL were given after I had completed most of the PBL plan.

My IC is there on hand when needed and does give feedback. I feel like I have my IC there as a backbone if I need her but other than that she has been a great help and know I can come to her if I need too.

I think that my History IC gave helpful constructive criticism when he observed my class. His advice on using the notebooks to further assist scholars in retaining information was useful and they could use those notes during their school year. At times there was not a clear communication with my IC which made it hard to get advice with lesson plans and teaching methods.

The feedback I’ve received in regards to lesson plans and how to best present information to the scholars has been really helpful to me and has been really beneficial in my classroom. My IC has been really helpful when needed. However, I think some more feedback on how to keep scholars engaged when there is such a big variation in the pace at which they comprehend and complete material could also be useful.

In all honesty, from what I have experienced there are some IC’s that don’t show up and put in the most effort that they can. The ELA IC, as much as they are helpful, it can be perceived as a little aggressive in the way feedback goes. Feedback is always appreciated as improving as a TF is beneficial, I just believe the way that it should be done should be differently. Especially when it comes to providing feedback about how a evaluation occurred. Many don’t want that to be aired out in front of their fellow coworkers, so I believe a more individual approach to that would make other feel comfortable and that personally goes for me as well. Aside from that, the main issue that I’ve perceived and experienced in the lack of time spent on campus. The IC’s are supposed to show up and be role models for us, but it’s difficult to do that when they are either always late or not on campus in general. I would also say motivation from our IC would also be appreciated. Some of the fellows feel unsure or unmotivated about certain things, and the assistance and motivation would be extremely valuable.

Due to personal reasons, the IC was unavailable for a period of time. While I understand these circumstances, I would have appreciated receiving feedback on my PBLs before they were started.

I wish my ELA did not put comments on my lesson plan so late after the initial comments and corrections and I moved on thinking that I was doing pretty good and my scholars were engaging with the lessons that I had and the feedback from my scholars that they enjoying the lessons and what we were doing in class. Overall the comments I received were last minute and had me changing things during the PBL multiple times.

My ic has been unable to be here due to some personal reasons which I understand is part of the reason he hasn’t been able to give feedback for physical teaching. He said he would be able to get to us sometime this week but I still haven’t seen him. I’m just wondering how im doing as a teacher and I’m 3 weeks in and I could be completely wrong and wouldn’t know.
