During this book and especially at the end my only existing question is if Zyler got and responded to Logan's email.  At the end it just showed the email he sent Zy, and then just some blank pages (probably so that the reader would fill in the ending).  Even though I have my own opinions about what happens next, I really want to get in the authors head and see what she was thinking.  I understood everything I read, just some of the ideas the author suggested in certain parts were confusing until you get to where she explains it later on.  I felt like that was more good than bad though because it made me think harder about the book and what it could mean.

The conclusions that I am drawing about the events in the book are that Logan goes through many traumatizing events that have ruined his childhood. He will remember this point in his life forever and really needs to know that he has people to talk to that will listen and help. Some passages that painted crystal clear pictures in my mind are when all the boy scouts were in the car and they were all trying to make up new names for Logan.  I can visualize the three boys in the middle row turned around and then Logan leaping over the seat tackling them.  I think that was the most clear.  The second passage that really made me visualize was the first time that Logan met Laurel by the bushes and she asked him about his past and what was really true.  I can easily see them both sitting back there and Laurel shushing Logan all the time.  I can see all the other people around the school and the window of the classroom above them.   ]]> 2018-08-05 19:01:32 UTC https://padlet.com/2069750/cwvutxsgfanl/wish/271997811 2069750 https://padlet.com/2069750/cwvutxsgfanl/wish/271997996 Basically, in this story, the main character Logan and his best friend Zyler both have a crush on the same girl, Cami.  After innocently riding their bikes past her house several times a day, Logan goes to Zyler's house to say, "Hi" when he hears Zyler talking to a girl.  He stays for a while and listens noticing that this girl is Cami.  Soon after Zyler's abusive dad comes home and threatens to abuse Cami as well as Zyler.  Logan runs home and finds Zyler waiting at his window.  Logan doesn't help him or Cami and then finds himself in a sticky situation after Zyler is taken by the cops to find a new family.  Logan is then ridden with depression and anxiety and refuses help of any kind.  Trying to help, his mom tells everyone about what happened when they move.  At the new school everyone already knows but thinks that Logan and Zyler were the ones that hurt Cami and bully Logan into hating himself.  At the end, Logan emails Zyler thanks to his new therapist saying that he moved and that maybe they could talk on the phone.  ]]> 2018-08-05 19:08:36 UTC https://padlet.com/2069750/cwvutxsgfanl/wish/271997996 2069750 https://padlet.com/2069750/cwvutxsgfanl/wish/273864774 Page 5 and page 242 - 
The main character changes throughout the book because at the beginning it says how he just can't take anything anymore and stays locked up in his room while at the end he has a therapist he trusts and sent an email to Zyler. The theme of this book is that there are always people out there to help you and that care for you.  At the beginning Logan didn't tell anything to his therapist, but at the end he really opened up and actually wrote about what happened and sent an email to Zyler. It helps everyone understand that they cannot judge a book by its cover. Thanks to everyone's rumors, the story of what happened that night at Zyler's house spread to be nothing like what it actually was. I think it really helps raise awareness about abuse and depression.
