Since I live in one of the lowest funded school system, I see the need for an increase in funding every school year. For students to be able to have the greatest opportunities in these rural counties, there needs to be an increase in funding!

Yes, I agree with the Leandro v. State decision because all children deserve an equal educational opportunity. If a child comes from a home that the income is less, this child needs as much, if not more, support than a child that comes from a wealthy family. A family’s income should not cause a variation in a child’s education. I am glad they stood up for and supported these children to be provided an equal education.

I agree with the Leandro V. State case because I would like to see in increase in funding within low funded schools. Every year we strive to give our young scholars the best, but some schools cannot afford this, putting their students at a disadvantage in comparison to school systems that have more funding. In order for students to have equal opportunities, there should be an increase in funding.

I agree with the Leandro V. State case because equality throughout the school system is highly important to the success of our students. Without this case, funding would not go to lower income schools that need the money for resources. These resources help our students grasp an understanding of the cirriculumn better. This case paved the way for our future students to have a brighter future due to the resources they were able to acsess. When only certian students recieve resources it is setting our society up for failure. This is why I agree with this case, I feel that this case made our education system much more unified and successful.

I went to a low income school county and didn't have access to the best education possible and when I compare myself to my friends who went to school in better income county schools, it does show. State decision because I believe every single student deserves the opportunity to have and receive a sound basic education, like stated in the article. A student and their education should not be judged off of where they come from or what community they were born into. That is not a fair decision at all. I definitely think that the funding and taxes affect students, but it has improved so much.

Yes, I agree with the decision made by Leandro v. State. All schools do not need the same funding. Some schools are in wealthy areas and receive enough support and funding to help all students within the school be successful. However, schools from low income areas need more funding to support all students. The decision to provide the amount of funding that gives each school the opportunity to receive a sound basic education is an excellent plan. When discussing funding, equity is the goal not equality.

I completely agree with the Leandro v. State decision. No student should have a poorer education than another student just because of their family wealth or where they live. It is unfortunate that many students are living in communities that lack the resources that would help them to succeed. They are placed in low funded schools that are overcrowded and lack the resources and properly trained teachers that would help them to become high achieving students. Being from Charlotte, I can see this for myself. I was blessed to live in such a great area and go to an amazing school, but I know many other students in poorer areas of Charlotte do not get the same educational experience as I did. I agree with the decision of Leandro v. State because every child deserves an equal education and the chance to be high-achieving.

Many schools are left behind because they receive less funding then some of the high performing schools. This needs to change by increasing the funding for schools that are struggling academically.

I agree with Leandro v States decision. All students should be able to receive a well rounded basic education regardless of the counties standing within a tax bracket and that students should always be the main priority. though there will always be struggles like depicted in this case, that is no justification for parents, students and other officials to have to go to this extent to get the education that is necessary for their students. Districts in more rural areas are often receive less funding and this case is evident as to why that is wrong and not a fair means of handling the funding of schools. As schools grow, there is a need for funding, just as a company grows there is a need for more investors.
