How do you (or might you) use technology yourself and/or with your students to ask better, more "beautiful" questions?

When I think about my content area (Spanish), technology affords us a connection to people and cultures that we may not be able to come across in our everyday lives. I think about the possibility of connecting to native speakers in other countries for authentic language practice through a technology such as skype. This would allow my students to ask deeper questions about life, work, education, cultures, etc... in Spanish-speaking countries and compare it to their own experiences.

I think that technology can be used to require students to ask better questions to find better results or answers. In my classroom, when students are given a broad topic to research or are given the freedom to come up with their own topics (i.e. I have my Street Law seniors identify a social problem and then find a law that helps to resolve those problems), they often complain about not finding anything on the topic or having trouble finding the topic they had in mind. This is usually when I ask students if they can better refine the question or find a better way to refine the search query to find better results. Finding the right answers or more detailed answers requires students to ask more purposeful questions and think of better ways to phrase their questions to find the answers they want. I believe that utilizing technology can allow students to ask their own questions to find their own answers, so that the teacher does not monopolize on asking questions and providing answers in the classroom.
-Regan

I believe that technology can help us ask better questions is by creating makers.Over the years technology has expanded in allowing everyone to become a maker. Students are no longer limited to just reading and accepting someone's discovery. They can now challenge discovery by asking what if it is was built this way, or how could it be more effective by serving this purpose? As a teacher I could use sketch up to redesign the layout of my classroom to be more suitable to 21st century learning. My students could use a 3d printer to develop a new tool to help them in science class. Utilizing various technologies to develop solutions or redesign outcomes , stimulates the mind for critical thinking which evokes better questions!
