         <description><![CDATA[<div>Reason I Chose (Including Examples): <br>I feel that Survey Sampling is somewhere in my field of interests as it has quite the versatile use. I also have this particular feeling of "fun" towards Survey Sampling in which I mean it can be messed around with, professionally speaking. Furthermore on versatility, Sampling can be applied to a lot of conflicts around the world wherein certain examples may include asking people a few or maybe more questions with the general idea being finding out what they think about a certain conflict to compare their different responses to see what the majority is saying or possibly making a sample of the population of a village and surveying the sample based on education to determine a country's overall educational adequacy and sufficiency. The previous example even shows that if we do not have enough time and/or resources to survey the intended target/amount of people, you can take a sample from that amount through various techniques to find the nearly most accurate results to when compared to the results of surveying the intended amount. Simply put, it's practical and time-efficient.<br><br>Background Problem: <br>According to UNICEF, there are approximately around 153 million orphans worldwide and that number is only increasing with each passing day. Now I understand that there are certain orphans whose parents might have possibly passed away for reasons I won't touch upon and because of that, I am not able to help them wherein the context does not apply. The context does, however, apply to orphans whose parents left them at foster care/orphanages and the context/problem is that parents leave their children at said foster care/orphanage (sometimes) without any explanation or reason for the child to understand. I want to help these children somehow in finding their parents by using the knowledge I have about survey sampling and how it can connect to science. An assignment me and the rest of the class had to do in Mathematics was to collect data based on genetics by surveying people about themselves and their parents wherein the information we used to determine the likelihood of parents having produced said person we surveyed. Maybe there's a possibility I can somehow reverse engineer this process with orphans by asking them their genetic information and then somehow have access to a wide range of information of parents who may be related to said orphans that are found in the general vicinity or maybe even the entire country. I want these orphans to reconnect with their family or maybe just help them answer the question they've sought after for their entire lives, or at least for as long as they've been an orphan; "why?"<br><br>Research Question:<br>I suppose that judging from my background problem that my Main/Research Question should be about orphans finding out the reason why they were left at an orphanage or at foster care and possibly also about the arduous journey of finding said parents. Maybe it can go something like this:<br>"What is the leading reason for parents to be leaving their children and how difficult may the task be/will be of finding said parents?"</div>]]></description>
