Can we use this data to deem someone as a criminal?
Investigation:
-Look at present examples that has the notion of predicting crime.
-Research the motivation of the creation of these softwares and how they are created--is there bias, does calculations and algorithms have bias and flaws?

I'm interested in knowing how will the use of internet, especially social media affect people's life or certain behavior in the future. In the podcast, it mentioned that nowadays people use social apps like Facebook, and it reminds us of our friends' birthdays or even other daily events, same thing for the phones, they keep all our contact information for us so that we no longer have to memorize a lot of things that we used to memorize. Therefore, I wonder whether it can make a major difference on people's life in the future.

"Searching" is a film that displayed the duplicity of technology. In the film, David Kim, is a single-parent who raises his daughter, Margot after his wife passed away. But one night, the usually conscientious Margot fails to come home after a study group session, something David doesn’t realize until well into the next day. And here’s where the intricacies of the technology have such an impact: We can see all those unanswered text messages from him just sitting there, ominously, lined up in a long, green column. We can see the time stamp of the last phone call Margot made to him in the middle of the night. David contacted the police and found his daughter at the end. In this film, Margot was almost killed because of technology (made bad friends on social media), but she was also rescued, for the rich information of each individual on social platforms that helped his father find the real suspect.

Movie: Ghost in the shell (1995)
Ghost in the shell is a fiction movie talking about human's reliance on body augmentation. It is a great example of what is coming in the future. It shows how much people rely on technologies and this connects to our present world. Many companies have already started to innovate new technologies on body augmentations, for example bionic eyes, or 3D printed body parts. This leads to the problem: will human over rely on technology to a point were we can't survive without it?
