The picture added here is a group of trees that have been affected by acid rain which is very harmful to plants and to the rest of the environment. Acid rain is caused by sulfur and nitrogen compounds which can come from natural phenomena such as lightning strikes and volcanic eruptions. Acid rain can also be caused by the presence of human sources such as motor vehicles, electric generator plants, and factories. I chosen this picture because it shows some of the negative effects that society and the environment can impact plants. On the positive side, plants give us the ability to breathe out oxygen and they are important to life on earth.

I decided to add this animation because it explains Photosynthesis in a visual and simplistic way. It shows that when the source of light (which is the sun) transfers into the plant, the plant starts transpiration which is the process of water moving from the roots to small pores on the underside of leaves. The light also targets the chloroplasts which produces the green pigment color of the plant. The plant then starts to make glucose (sugar) which becomes a product of food.

I believe the desert is in danger of ecological change because of human exploitation and changes in climate that could wipe out unique habitats and rare species. Human exploitation upsets the balance of desert life through draining underground aquifers and salinisation which poisons the soil. Climate change also presents a problem due to the changes in precipitation and temperature which can cause the deserts to become arid.

The creation of farming and use of animals brought both negative and positive consequences. Farming led people to become permanently settled in one area instead of continuously traveling from one place to another. With the use of this new type of technology, it helped increase populations and created different specialties. On the negative side, it created social class structures which divided the population into 2-3 separate groups (Upper class, middle class, and the working class). Although the benefit of this type of structure is that it allowed trade to be established between different groups.

I chose the tractor because it became both a large innovation and impact during the Agricultural Revolution. The tractor was invented by John Froelich in 1892 which started as a gasoline powered engine and later Benjamin Holt invented the crawler-type tread tractor around the same time as Froelich's invention. The tractor had the ability to plant, plow, and tilling the fields in a fast and effective way. The tractor is a very popular vehicle and tool for farmers in today's world and is manufactured by some of the best known companies such as John Deere.

Caffeine comes from Xanthine which is found in bark of coffee and citrus trees. The chemical/drug is commonly found in drinks such as coffee, Coca-Cola products and tea leaves.

I chose this picture because it shows of what I envisioned if present day agricultural, economic, social, and political practices go unchecked. If unchecked, the political and economic systems would collapse and society would be more controlled by dictating or totalitarian governments. Environmentally there would be no life left in existence and everything is subject to disaster.
