         <description><![CDATA[<p>Stoke volume can decrease in heat because of results from dehydration. It is more difficult to maintain body temperature in humid conditions because as the humidity increases, your ability for your sweat to dry and cool you down decreases. Physiological factors that contribute to impaired exercise performance in heat is too much of an increase in body temperature can make you have an abnormal spike in body temperature and if it gets above 104 you’re more likely to have a heat stroke which can be deadly. Another physiological factor that can contribute to impaired exercise performance is you have Na+ loss and increased muscle cramping, especially in large muscles. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>In the heat we see an increased HR leading to less filling time for the heart and therefore less stroke volume.</p></li><li><p>It is harder to maintain body temp during humid environments since there is less of a gradient in water vapor pressure leading to less evaporative cooling. </p></li><li><p>Less cooling leading to internal temperature shifts and ph impacts. We also see less fluid retention and solute losses leading to a higher cardiac output to compensate. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>1.</strong> During exercise in the heat, more blood goes to your skin to help cool you down. This means less blood returns to the heart, so it fills less before each beat. Because of that (and sweating causing fluid loss), stroke volume goes down.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>2.</strong> In humid air, sweat doesn’t evaporate as easily because the air is already full of moisture. Since evaporation is how your body cools itself, you can’t lose heat as well. This makes your body temperature rise faster than in dry air.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>3.</strong> When you exercise in the heat, your body gets dehydrated and your heart has to work harder to keep blood flowing to both muscles and skin. This can reduce oxygen delivery to muscles and make you feel fatigued faster. Also, higher core temperature can mess with muscle function and make performance worse.</p>]]></description>
