The ASSURE model is a fantastic way to plan effective, media-rich lessons. We choose this model as it suits our students' background. We can cooperate the use of technology into the lesson to cater the young generation learning styles. Students can build their knowledge and beyond the textbook content. The overview of the model is structured to the lesson (lesson plan).

Challenges:
1. important to plan ahead of time just how you’re going to use them.
2. Control the classroom/ lesson
3. Too much of information
4. Time consuming
5. Fun or facts (knowledge)?
6. Technical problem

By following the ASSURE process, we can improve our teaching for many years to come.

1.      The meaning of ID, ISD and there is constructivist theory where student learn but when they construct their own meaning.

2.      The relationship with cognition, effectiveness and psychomotor.

3.      Is there ISD model that we can let user control it?

4.      What is the difference between Instructional Design and Learning Experience Design(LXD)?

The goals are to enable student and teacher to have teaching and learning session through online whether it is through flexible time learning or video conference

                       III.          Where we can know what is the student available internet reception(Good/Average/Poor)

                      IV.          Available internet speed (Good : More than 2.5 Mbps/ Average : 1.5 Mbps - 2.5 Mbps/ Poor : Below 1.5 Mbps)

                        V.          What is their available monthly data (Unlimited/More than 10GB/1GB - 10GB/Less than 1GB)

                      VI.          Available / Commonly used devices for Internet access (Mobile phone/Tablet/Laptop computer/Desktop computer)

Phase 3 : Analyzing the data – Analyse it through the spreadsheet and see how many percent student that have better reception and the opposite.

Phase 4 : Compiling a Final Report – Prepare the summary of the questionnaire purpose, process, final finding from the data and do the report based on the analysis. Show summary in quantitative formats(charts. Graphs n etc) n lastly recommendation based on data for the online classes. Lastly, we can decide on what platform we want to use.

Learners: UTM Foundation Students

Data collection : Questionnaire, feedback from students from time to time via whatsapp group, feedback from other teachers

Goals – to complete the syllabus within the time given

Google meet, whatsapp group, padlet

 

Before they went back home (before MCO), I asked them to bring an IRP notes and set of revision questions.

 

So the goal is to ensure the students can complete their set of revision questions and join for several hours of online classes for discussion of the answer.

I have WhatsApp group and Google Classroom with my students.

I use IDI Design Model for need analysis (audience, condition and relevant resources).

I make online survey through Google Form to get information on

-          The access of internet connection.

-          Whether they depend on hand phone or laptop

-          They bring the notes and questions

-          The convenient time for online classes to be done

The data will be analysed to choose suitable platform to be used.

As they already have the questions, they can answer it and post the answer through Google Form and check their answer through it. Specific due date will be given from time to time for all sets of questions.

For subjective questions, they have to upload in GC and online Classroom will be made once they completed the revision questions via Google Meet. 

Target audience: UTM students

Enable students to receive questions and send their answer booklet within the range of time given.

It includes development of instructional materials and activities and try out and evaluation of all instruction and learner activities.

I also learned about analyzing learner and context, performance objectives, assessment instruments, instructional strategy and materials including evaluation.

Hopefully, I can  apply the knowledge gained from this class in my classroom instruction, an e-learning course, or an on-demand performance support solution  to ensure the quality of instruction during my teaching and learning process.
