An interview with Steve Willey, CEO of Innovega Inc. was performed regarding a new generation of eyewear that has combined lens-based vision correction. The lenses use augmented reality to deliver digital media to the lens-wearer with a device that is configured to their specific needs and preferences. The lenses will be available as both contact lenses and lightweight glasses. Based on this article, this technology could be the answer to the problems previously discovered with the use of augmented reality lenses such as Google Glass.
