It was awesome because the feedback was super quick (We could test it all the time on our simulator) I got so into it, I worked with the custodian to use his drilling tools and installed springs at the base of my tower. My teacher was totally open to letting me try out new and different ideas. I delivered an afternoon paper each day between 3:30 and 5 to 25ish people. I rode my bicycle around to do this. On Wednesday evening, I went to each house and "collect" the $2.50 weekly cost of their papers.  That Thursday, I took the $40 I collected and played video games for 2 hours, spending all but $10. That night, the paper route lady gave me a call and told me that I owed the company $30, a big problem. I cried, my mom bailed me out, and I paid her back over the coming weeks. I applied for and got an internship at NYU Law with the Center for Community Problem Solving, working on re-entry programming. Noticing our success, some neighbor kids tried to do the same thing. Feeling very passionate that this was my idea, I convinced all the neighborhood kids that if we started "the same company" that advertised all around the golf course we could make more money. Being the self appointed banker I would go around and collect everyone's money throughout the day. That summer we made about $500 and used it to throw a party right before school started. We wanted to know what had worked and what didn't in their experimental communities and which experiences they revisited the most and why?
