A cop pulls them over and finds weed on Wes's side of the car. The team is doing good except for the freshman. The freshman is scared and not ready for what he has coming at him. They lose bad but Derrick is interviewed wondering why he wasn't playing. Derrick tells them it was a mistake he had made and this season is in his hands. He then sees Wes and Derrick goes on a car ride with Wes's friends. They get in a van and Derrick is very uncomfortable. She is smart and is planning on going to a D1 college but not sure if she has a good enough grade. He's down holding his knee. In his head he wondering is this it is it over. Chapter 10 starts and he's in the hospital. The doctors said that he had torn his ACL. He is in so much anger he is put to sleep. He is tired from basketball getting no rest. He is falling asleep in classes now. His actual third game he drops 30 points 15 assist and 10 rebounds. Derrick exhausted grabs his knee. At practice he is struggling. His knee has gotten worse. His mom takes him to the doctor and they say he should rest. Bad news he has a torn ACL. This is serious now he is mad that he didn't listen. She comes in and says miss you out there. Derrick is mad and says its all my fault. This has to be the worst day ever, but he can play next year. No AAU but its for the good. Derrick is terrified about surgery and is very worried. Derrick is chilling for the rest of the summer till he found out that Jasmine is back in town . Derrick grabs the car and goes to Jasmine but Jasmine was with another boy.
