Sie gehen damit auf den Tun-Ergehen-Zusammenhang ein in der gesagt wird, dass es einem gut geht wenn man nicht viele Fehler macht und ein guter Mensch ist und schlecht wenn man sich schlecht verhält. Kurz gesagt, dass es einem so geht wie man sich verhält.
Sie gehen auch auf die Leid als Erziehungs-Methode ein.
Die Leid als Erziehungs-Methode besagt, dass Gott die Menschen leiden lässt um ihnen zu zeigen, dass sie etwas falsch machen bzw. um sie zu erziehen.
Diese Diskussion zwischen Hiob und seinen Freunden geht über mehrere Kapitel im Buch Hiob.

Der Glaube zu Gott von Hiob ist sehr stark obwohl dieser leid empfindet. Selbst seine Freunde glauben nicht mehr an Gott.

Hiob verlor durch die Wette von Satan und Gott, alles was er hat. Seine ganzen Tiere sterben genau so wie seine Kinder.
