         <description><![CDATA[<div>OTAs need to be able to effectively communicate with their clients and inter-professional team members clearly and effectively by using proper clinical language with their team but in a way that everyone can understand, checking to make sure the patient understands what is going on in a variety of ways (eg. asking them to repeat back what is happening, checking in with them that they're following along, using appropriate body language and other nonverbal cues, etc.), and professionally written forms and notes. When communicating with others, make note of any communication barriers there may be. Another important aspect is keeping everyone on the team and the client in the loop with what treatments have been done, improvements or challenges, and any changes to the treatment plan.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
