I chose this video because I believe it is important to be aware that despite being one of the richest countries in the world we do not provide paid maternity leave because it is considered too expensive. In 2018, there was a big turnout for women candidates. 273 women were on the ballot for the 2018 midterms and represented both parties. Women are more known to discuss topics such as education, climate change, and minimum wage. There's evidence that shows that women make better lawmakers. I chose this video because I believe it is important for people to know that despite there being a few more women in the world than men, men outnumber women in politics by a large margin.
