We need to put more focus on transforming production over consumption. While making individual changes can be impactful, they are nevertheless heavily dependant on one’s income level. Box-bottled water, plant-based food, and most eco-friendly products for example are often more costly than their counterparts, and are choices that can only be made under the luxury of having open access to food and nutrition (in the case of plant-based food choices). Recycling is also mostly reliant on the public waste management infrastructure and fundings.
