Our coursebooks lack meaningful context, drilling, natural and social language and many more. Since establishing meaning is the most essential part in language learning, creating a meaningful context for activities is the most important thing to do. Moreover, pictures or songs can be used to establish the meaning. The purpose of PDC is to help teachers share and reflect ideas. When teachers meet, they can adapt the activities in a better way because there will be different perpectives that can be used in teaching. For example; when we created the lesson plan for a dialogue in the coursebook we adapted the dialogue accordingly. And seeing different ideas helped me to see weaknesses and strengths of the exercises on the book. We brainstormed ideas to solve the problems. Teachers face variety of challenges. If we are talking about classroom management, we can mention few major problems. To start with lack of focus of students leads to bad classroom management. To solve this teachers prepare enjoyable and appealing activities for students. Secondly, "Noise" is a very huge problem. Younger students tend to speak a lot and loudly and this makes a lot of noise in classes. For this, teachers establish rules to stop unnecessary speaking between students. Also, teachers may use punishments or rewards to stop unwanted behavior. Another issue in classroom management is sitting arrangement. Environment and where students sit effeects the effectivenes of the lesson so teachers arrange sittings in a "u" shape where students see each other and the teacher clearly. Unfortunately, this is not possible in many schools in Turkey. So teachers try to find other solutions like walking around in the class more. I liked the Pandas activity. I would like to use it in my PDCs because it starts from bottom to top. Every different groups tries to memorize the given sentence then with groups mixing with other groups get the other sentences and understand the whole. I think it symbolizes PDC meetings very good. When we are together we are able to see clearly. I have to think thoroughly about my group dividing techniques before the meeting because I may not calculate numbers etc. immediately in the class. I usually try to correct most of the mistakes indirectly even if it is not in the curriculum. Today I realized it is not a good thing to do. From now on, I will only correct mistakes if they are related to my lesson objectives. Moreover, in my 4th graders, I usually use Assessment of Learning because we have to grade them at the end of the semester. I cannot change the system, I cannot stop grading them but I can increase my usage of Assesment for Learning to improve students' learning process which is more important.

Well "Teachers make the worst students" . During our sessions, we as teachers also made some disruptions and these were handled by our trainers in varieties of ways. I observed these techniques (mimics, warnings, starings). Of course, we will face different kind of challenges in our own PDC meetings but I think I got some general ideas to face these challenges thanks to the sessions we had.
